Record number: 17419 Title: Scandal Medium: TV Series Actress: Katie Lowes Description: Episode: YOLO (3.09) The episode opens with a nude Quinn (Katie) laying on the floor. Her arms are folded over her chest and taped in place with enough duct tape that this almost qualifies as mummification (and serves the purpose of hiding her breasts for network television broadcast). Her ankles are also taped together, and she is gagged with more duct tape. She is laying on a plastic tarp while her captor lays out his implements of torture. The duct tape gag is replaced with a mouth spreader so that he can get access to her teeth, but an interruption by a phone call gives her a moment’s reprieve. After the phone call, her captor needs to leave her for a bit, but decides he has time to pull out one of her teeth first…. and does so. At 12:52 (including commercials) we come back to Quinn, who is once again tape gagged. Her face is bloody from the pulled tooth, which is laying next to her on the floor. At 22:10, she looks around the room and spots a glass on the table. She kicks the table over, but the glass doesn’t break when it falls to the floor. At 27:35 she manages to smash the glass with her bound feet, and the action picks up again at 32:10 as she is trying to cut herself loose. She has barely managed to start to cut the tape around her wrists when her captor comes back and retapes her hands. He pulls off her gag, and then pulls out another tooth. At 43:35 she is found by a friend and released (off-camera, which is shame since it would have been interesting to see how they got that much tape off of her while staying in character). |

One of the best spreadeagles on screen. Most broadcast-TV and basic-cable editions of this film delete this scene in its entirety, but some broadcast late at night show a short, heavily edited version which emphasizes the tying of Kinski's wrists and ankles, but includes neither any full-figure shots of her nor an explicit depiction of the sex. Both are present in abundance, of course, in the premium-cable version. |
