Record number: 1953 Title: Pony Soldier (1952) Medium: Movie Actress: Penny Edwards Description: Emerald Neeley (Ms. Edwards) is captured by Crees, along with a man. Around the 25' mark (in the AMC airing I saw), she's shown being freed by hero Tyrone Power. She's inside a tent at the camp. The scene is very brief. She's bitgagged, and Power is just cutting her wrist bonds behind her back when the cut is made to the tent. She removes the gag, and that's pretty much it. Later, about 70' in, recalcitrant members of the Cree nation grab her again and whisk her off. We see her again bitgagged (appearing to be made of leather, secured by thongs or cords wrapped around the ends) and bound wrists behind. After a long march, they bind her ankles over her flowing skirt, and build a fire to immolate her. Power, a Cree chief, and a Cree boy save the day. This scene runs about six minutes. |

Medium: Movie Actress: Stefanie Powers Description: Held prisoner by her dead fiance's mother, Ms. Powers is bound and gagged with a thick woolen cleave. She tries to alert someone at the door by thumping down a staircase. In the last twenty minutes or so (without commercials). Prior to this, but still in the second half, she's the recipient of a relatively lengthy handgag. Right before the gagged scene, Stefanie Powers gets another handgag as she is trying to explain to one of her captors that her cohort, assisting in getting the bonds on Ms. Powers, killed her husband. The woman slaps a handgag on firmly and yells to the other lady, "Gag and bind her!" The gagged scene is an over the mouth detective gag which turns into a cleave gag as the scenes unfold and presumably from Ms. Powers struggles. Just as her fiance is leaving, Ms. Powers works her gag off and screams "ALLEN!!!" but alas it is too late. |

(Earlier in the episode, she was cuffed to a guy). Her captor leads her through the woods to some camp. Once there, he cuffs one of her wrists to a vertical tube and then ungags her. She's left alone to deal with a bomb set to explode. BTW, she's clad in a wet uniform, wears high heels and the tape gag is really sticky! |
