Since my original post, I remebered the "Doctor Who" serial "The Day of the Daleks." Time travelling guerellas from the future mistake the Doc for the politician they blame for the original Dalek takeover the leader says "ie them up" but we later see the Doctor and Jo Grant (Katy Manning) gagged in the wine cellar.

Looks like an extremely incompetent kidnapper

Not the uber-hottie she once was, unfortunately. And the last scene on that show made a huge sucking sound.

I don't ordinarily look gift horses in the mouth, but isn't it at least a little bit weird that they're putting this stuff in when there wasn't the slightest hint of interest in bondage in the original movie? I think many of us here can testify that the interest doesn't just disappear as you get older.

Fair point, but the producers have said they simply used the character of Norman and the motel location as a jumping-off point for the show. Norman only kills two people (and only one's a woman) in the movie, and it takes place over a couple of days, so only a tiny bit of his "issues" might have been on display. And the movie was made more than 50 years ago, when combining bondage with violence was far more scandalous for a mainstream film than it is now.

Arrow minor alert
For the completists and non-gag aficionados, the episode tonight has the Huntress arrested and cuffed in front. The hot techie girl is also briefly tied, both hands and feet. Don't expect a gag though, even if it was a perfect opportunity.

Criminal Minds
In the last 15 minutes, gal is grabbed just before commercial with sack over her head.

After commercial, sack is removed and she is shown setting in a chair. No gag. Hands tied in front. Feet tied also as she is shoved into a pool.

'Despite what Helena said to McKenna, she and Oliver were still in a good place and while they were busy, Felicity left him a message about the theft of a crossbow…before turning around to find Helena standing right there. Oliver found Felicity tied up, and she told him Helena forced her to hack the FBI database to find her father's safe house.'

Oh well...
