| Definitely some scenes for Ms. Monaghan in this thriller, which has been sitting on the shelf for a while -- no U.S. release date has been announced yet, despite costarring Michael Keaton and being directed by the guy who did Sleeping with the Enemy. There's an international trailer right now on SlashFilm near the top of the posts, so you can check it out there, but she seems to be in distress and fighting off baddies for a good chunk of the film. Among the brief scenes you can see: * Michelle tied AOH and threatened by a bad guy * Michelle sort-of handgagged, though it's more like a forearm over her mouth, in a whole other scene * Michelle tied down to a table and waterboarded in yet another scene. There's a towel over her mouth and nose, though that's obviously intended more as part of the torture than as a gag. But still... No "traditional" gags appear in the trailer, but one wouldn't be surprising given the nature of the movie. Certainly something to keep an eye on. If it doesn't get a U.S. theatrical release, hopefully it can land on DVD or VOD soon. |

| I was trying to remember the name of an indie film from years back (about 15 years?) where a girl was kidnapped, kept in a closet mostly chained and gagged, and escapes only to voluntarily get into her kidnappers car when he finds her sometime later (sort of a stockholm syndromesque thing) at the end of the film. It had a 'common' title of the type used in 70's thrillers if that helps. |

I would've copy and pasted the relevant text but it seems webmasters are now writing code to prevent people from quoting or copying content from their websites. Anyway, considering the studio in charge I don't expect anything edgier than PG-13 since they'll want to sell toys. A shame; I think the film franchise would benefit with a darker film that would of course include D.I.D. scenes worth a damn.
