I wasn't trying to mislead I should have explained it better I gotten Hundreds from them and they have good scenes in their books. Just felt like that would lead the way. I am very interested in this topic. Next time I'll mind my own business.

Yea, that looks good. Thanks for the heads up. It's always a nice surprise to discover a decent scene from a few years ago. If all goes well, I should have it up on the video page by tomorrow.

2011 again. For us tape gag fans, that was a good year.

This posting about old detective magazines snuck by the other day, but reminded me about how great those covers used to be. Virtually every week a pretty gal was B&G in all different positions, looking scared while (allegedly) some psycho was about to threaten her. Any others readers here - oldtimers or otherwise - recall these old B&G treasures???

Hey, Pulp2515, don't let the nattering nabobs keep you quiet. You've got a pretty impressive website, with plenty of damselage. I've got a feeling that sooner or later a comprehensive list of scenes in novels will show up, and whoever develops it would be pretty stupid to not take advantage of the vast Brianspage audience's knowledge and resources....

I just looked at this site - very briefly for now - and what a "memory gold mine" this is - not just the detective mag covers but also "Men's World" type of magazines/covers.

I remember going into sleazy book stores - they sold porn in the back part of the store I'm sure - as a (very) young man, looking at and eventually getting up enough nerve to buy these mags, just for the covers even.

Also noticed the outrageous $$$ prices for these mags at this site... sure wish I still had all the stuff I used to.

Zero Hour
A new conspiracy themed series premiering on ABC Thursday at 9:00 p.m., starring Anthony Edwards. I know part of the show involves Edwards trying to save his kidnapped wife, and saw a commercial with a quick shot of a gagged woman.

As a matter of fact....

My next little project involves these gems of the past. I've currently got somewhere between 5-10 thousand scans that I've accumulated over the years. Of course, there are some duplicates...

Please take a look at a sample: some covers from Front Page Detective magazine from 1960-1969.

I'm interested to hear from anyone who has an interest in this subject (true-crime detective magazines) and would like to help me fill holes, or who is able to replace lousy pictures with better ones.

Forgot to mention: Many of the scans I got came from pulp2515's website or ebay selling pages. He's got some good (if somewhat pricey) stuff, and a lot of it!

Oh yeah, very much so - back in the days even before I got to stuff like "Bondage Life" (wasn't old enough) it was just looking at the covers of the "Detective" and "Men's Sweat" magazines. Iirc, it was "Confidential Detective" that almost always had a woman tied up on the cover. The owner of the little bookstore wouldn't sell those magazines to anyone who didn't appear to be at least 18. Luckily I was pretty tall and he didn't ask for a driver's license to check age, so I got some when I was 16. But the stuff was dying out and taming down around then, so I only ended up having a few. And those "mysteriously" disappeared from my room one day - couldn't really protest to my Mom, as she knew, since I would've had to describe what had vanished. I did find a book or two later which collected some of the covers of the "Men's Sweat" magazines. Just as gloriously lurid as I remembered them. They were the equivalent of the "Pulp" magazines for the 1960's.

The movie was shot in 2011, and made it's Film Festival release in late 2011, but the DVD/BluRay just hit the stores yesterday. It's a good tape gag, to be sure.

I'd surely be interested - will check your site in the next day or two - but unfortunately all the pictures I have are "in my head" only.

A great memory that you had - was sure good to read. Probably somewhat close to what I recall in some ways, but I don't remember ever having a hard time getting them sold to me, even though I was 15 or so (I never got into the heavy porn section tho) at the time. Always wondered why these mags, both detective and men's mags, vanished from stores - (in the 1970's maybe???) - gotta think they'd still be as popular as they once were... maybe even more so.

new one to me
Check this out--I am at the local mall and picking up some needed items and I see this guy about 30 something and his t-shirt has an old fashioned looking detective style mag cover print on it.
I did not get a good look but it was a scene of our particular passion...
I said "Hey man nice shirt" but the place was crowded and he apparently did not hear me as he did not respond.

I am thinking it was the Moderator.

Anybody else ever see a bondage print on a t-shirt?

It wasn't exactly a graphic depiction, but way back in the college days I saw a T-shirt with the title of Duke Tumatoe's song "I Want To Tie You Up" with a decorative rope design around it. I never could find where to buy one, though.

It seems "damsel in distress" T-shirts are pretty common nowadays:

Abduction, Born Bad, Kenneyville, Recoil, and Seeking Justice.

And Hell and Penumbra were good cleave gag scenes.

More straitjacket bondage on LA PATRONA
Aracely Arambula was seen in a straitjacket in a padded cell in two short scenes on tonight's (Feb 13) episode, but was out of both by episode's end.
