There has to be bondage and/or gaggage of some kind before an entry is worth entering in the database. If there is some, I will mention other scenes in the movie that are of interest. And if there's a brief cuff scene but there's a long, hot catfight scene, I have no problem with saying, Blah-blah is cuffed briefly hands in front" and "Later, she's dressed in a skintight leotard, wrestling the villainess who's wearing a thong bikini, in a giant vat of oatmeal. No gags." Gotta love those oatmeal scenes. |

I just think it's a little ass-backwards to post entries in which any bondage in the film appears to be a mere technical requisite that allows the poster to go off on a screed on the unrelated material. But it's not my call, of course. |

Ms. Kinski is also handgagged three times throughout the movie; well-lit, long scenes with close-ups. |

I don't know if the example I posted constituted a "screed." And I really don't think there are a lot movies with weak bondage scenes AND good scenes in other respects. Best example I can come up with offhand is "2 Days In The Valley" but it has no bondage. > But it's not my call, of course. We're not making calls as I understand it, but just discussing standards for scenes. I will say that in the case of cuff scenes, I won't put an entry into the database unless, at some point, the cuffs are at least visible. None of these scenes where a woman walks with her hands behind her back after a cop briefly stands behind her, but we never see her bonds. If there are other bondage scenes in the movie, I might mention that. Frankly, there are more than enough boring shots of women with their hands cuffed in front floating around. That's just my opinion, though. |

I wasn't alluding to that example, but to entries that highlight and detail elements unrelated to bondage (like prison rapes), relegating the bondage itself to secondary status. I will say that in the > case of cuff scenes, I won't put an entry into the > database unless, at some point, the cuffs are at least > visible. > None of these scenes where a woman walks with her hands > behind her back after a cop briefly stands behind her, > but we never see her bonds. > I used cuffs as an example, not a standard. I also don't bother with scenes as you describe above ... others may, and certainly are welcome to. > If there are other bondage scenes in the movie, I might > mention that. > What types of scenes would you omit? >Frankly, there are more than enough boring > shots of women with their hands cuffed in front floating around. As for chloros, blindfolds, handgags and faux gags ... to me they have at least some indirect connection to restraint, unlike sex, rape, fighting, etc. I wouldn't have a problem with their being included on their own. I guess there's the "floodgate" argument, but I doubt there're more than a relative handful of such entries now, and no prospect for an upsurge in the future. As far as what I do, I don't add a blindfold by itself ... but the other three are fair game by my standards. |

I personaly coukd care less about either but I've seen dozens of hand gag only scenes in the db. |

Yeah, if we were going to take those scenes out, we'd have to poll the hoi polloi and see what the concensus is, then make a search and destroy raid if the trend was thumbs down. They don't really bother me. They don't interest me either, of course. |
