Thursday July 25 02:16:24 2002 due destini |
Record n.7593.
The did actress is not Laura Arzilli, who's the bass player of the group, but Rosaria De Cicco, one of the actresses of the movie "Le fate ignoranti". The song is in fact part of the original soundtrack of the movie. This week's news is that Rosaria almost kills herself in a motorbike accident and she's in coma at the moment. |

Thursday July 25 04:43:43 2002 Street Knight |
Hello
They're going to show the movie "Street Knight" over here in France on Friday night (record # 1326). The description is very short, but it sounds quite interesting and I'm looking forward to viewing the movie. Afterwards, I'd like to contribute by extending the description, if somebody's interested? |

We'd love a better description! Just post the changes or a rewritten description here and one of us will plug it into the database. |

Record number 197
Actress Ally Sheedy Emm, this is based on the clip thats on G-mans rerun theatre this week only. I thought the present description is kind of short. "Lenghty scene, app 5 minuter, in the last 30 or 40 minutes. Ms Sheedys character has been abducted by an elderly man, possibly a relative. She is tied to a chair, hands behind, thin ropes crossing around her body and thighs, ankles tied together, and tapegagged. During the scene, the man keeps talking about a woman who once left him. (another relative?) That seems to have made him bitter. He shows our Damsel pictures of her and some letters. The Damsel just sits still and stares at him, looking frightened. At one point she is ungagged, but she doesnt say anything, just keeps staring. Then she is regagged, the man puts a record on the record player, saying "this was her favourite" and goes to fetch something. The Damsel doesnt seem to like the music, because as soon as he´s out of the door, she first inches the chair, then manages to hop, over to the record player, where the tries to remove the pickup with her chin, then tries to lover the volume with her elbow. She doesnt succeed, because as the rescuers enter the room a while later, she sits tied to the chair next to the record player, and the music is still playing" -just a suggestion, let me know if its too detailed. |

However, Diane Franklin leads the rescuers into the room and Ally is untied. A bit later, Diane Franklin is handgagged and dragged away by another villain but manages to escape. |

Try this as an entry. A bit long but the scene is an all-time classic.
Title: Deadly Lessons (1983) Record number 197 Actresses: Ally Sheedy, Diane Franklin Deadly Lessons is set in a private summer school for girls that is menaced by an unknown killer. About 1 hour and 10 minutes into the movie, Marita Armstrong (Ally Sheedy) goes into a basement to get a suitcase and is grabbed and handgagged by a villain. After the commercial break, she wakes up to find herself tied to a chair - hands bound behind her with thin ropes around her upper body and thighs. Her ankles are possibly tied but they're never shown. She is also gagged with white tape. The villain, elderly caretaker Mr Hartigan, sits in front of her and gives a monologue about he took care of Ally's mother when she came to the school and how girls nowadays are depraved, etc. There are several nice closeups of Ally during the spiel. Hartigans peels the tape off of Ally's mouth and this gives her the chance to explain that her mother isn't dead. Hartigan doesn't believe it and says he'll go get the letters. He puts on a record ('Mona Lisa') saying that her mother loved it. He puts the tape gag back on, tells Ally to "sit here quiet and still and listen to the music" and leaves. Ally tries to drag her chair to the player. Failing that, she manages to stand up and hop across the room, still tied to the chair. She reaches the record player, pulls back the needle with her chin and turns up the volume knob with her wrist. Outside, Diane Franklin (Stefanie Aggiston) hears the music and sees Hartigan angrily rushing back inside. Ally is shown sitting next to the record player, still gagged and tied to the chair. You can also see her reflection in a mirror which gives another angle of her. Hartigan bursts through the door, picks up the record player and smashes it against the wall. Nice reaction shots by Ally. At that moment, Diane Franklin enters the room with a couple of cops who arrest Hartigan and untie Ally. A bit later, Diane Franklin is handgagged and dragged away by the real killer (played by Larry Wilcox). However, she manages to escape. |

As an addendum , Ally Sheedy is wearing a white top, white knee-length shorts and white socks. The tape gag naturally is white to complete the ensemble. |

However, she manages to escape. Much, much better than my suggestion, that was only based on the clip. Canuck no doubt saw the whole movie. Also, I obviously misunderstood the record player thing. Only, I insist, its her elbow, not her wrist, that she uses on the volume button. Per |

Hard one, eh, guys?
Heres my suggestion: Take Canucks description. Include his addendum regarding the Damsels clothing. Include my sentence of her just sitting still, looking frightened, replace "wrist" with "elbow" and voila: You have a first-class entry! |

Ha, this starts to be funny. "pale yellow hue" I do not agree with that. Its not yellow. "Off-white" would be more precise. What is much more serious, her shorts, white as they may be, is not knee-lenght! Only half knee-lenght. They reaches down half of her thigh, in the middle, midway between her knees, and her...her..ehh |

If you've ever seen plain masking tape, you'll know what I'm driving at. But it most definitely is *not* white medical tape. I've seen this seen eight gajillion times, and I know my tapes, believe me. The color is similar to April Dancer's gag in the GIRL FROM U.N.C.L.E. ep, "The Drublegratz Affair" ... although that's a different type of tape. |

Besides nobody seemed to care to comment on the main issue, the shorts lenght.
What a disappointment. |

The effect's been used many times. Also, her captor peels the tape off slowly to give the *impression* of a tight seal. But believe as you please ... if it's more interesting to you to think of it as another type of tape, more power to your imagination. |
