Wow, thanks! Seems like that's gotta be almost everything from those threads. I reduced the list based on the files that Sam sent earlier at the link. Absolutely no hurry on the others, just glad to know they're safe. :)

Yeah, it does what it does pretty well. Boundy22 over at Rob's forum just convinced me to switch from Sendspace to MediaFire, and I think that's the right move for me, but one does have to commit to the $2.50 to $5 a month or it all goes away (not just the inactive links).

I was sorry to see I missed so many! Though one way or another, I don't imagine we've seen the last of them.

Done...well, assuming the zip file does eventually finish uploading. (I made the mistake of kicking it off on MediaFire Desktop, which lacks a progress bar. :) In the meantime, the file list is at the link.

This won't allow you to fix the original links, of course...though that'd be a ridiculous amount of work anyway!

Although old soap scenes are still hard to track down for newer versions. I did manage to find a decent quality version of the Laura Harring marathon scene from Sunset Beach last year(got it right this time!). I made some new clips from it and it looks much better as you can see at the link below, but it was missing some of the more violent stuff.
Any chance you still have those old clips that were split up in about 6 parts? I have the last 2 or 3 but the beginning ones are missing like where she gets the forced tatoo. Would love to compare them to the newer clips and see what exactly is missing. Welcome back man!

Here's a 2010 45 minute HQ edit. This may actually be Raffish's, but the naming convention and container aren't typical for him so it wasn't on my list.

Wait a moment: I just realized that MediaFire allows sharing of entire folders. With automatic zipped downloading of multiple selected files in those folders.

Here's a link to those 161 HQ clips that were posted by Sam and a few others back in 2009/2010. Sam, if you want to change your dead Sendspace links to point to these clips individually or collectively, that's cool with me. I'll try to make sure they stick around for a while.

Unless I'm missing something, this. Changes. Everything. More to come. Oh my yes.

OK, here's the Great Raffish HQ Reupload of 2015, in 12 parts. Clear out some hard drive space, people.

Note: These rips are not necessarily the best quality versions now existing in all cases. In some cases HD upgrades were provided by Sam at some point.

Ha, I was literally just wondering about that clip, which is in the big archive I just posted but doesn't turn up when I search "Sunset Beach" over at Rob's. Which is odd, since I thought everything in that archive came from those threads.

It's indeed not mine. It's a terrific compilation and more complete than my set in most respects, though it too is missing some parts, including the tattoo scene and the injection knockout in the hallway.

Anywhere, here are my clips, which I can repack in higher quality as needed. Here's hoping we can eventually assemble the ultimate sequence, even if it has to be from multiple contributors. Seems like a worthy goal, since this is arguably the greatest soap sequence in history, based on the number of scene elements alone.

I mean srsly. Knockouts by chloroform (twice), injection, and gas! AOH suspension! Cleave gags! Tape gags! Blindfolds! Handcuffs! Rope bondage! Tape bondage! Chair bondage! Bed bondage! Fence bondage! Undies! Wedding dresses!

Which one of us wrote this thing? C'mon, fess up.

Holy crap, Parry. You rock beyond most known definitions of rocking. Many, many thanks.

If anyone wants to hold off on downloading these, I'm planning to rehost the clips shortly on MediaFire, so you'll be able to download them individually or in as many zip files as you like. I'll also be renaming them to my new convention with episode numbers etc, and at some point I'll try and compare them against Sam's updates so that the highest-quality version gets highlighted.

P.S. This will take me a while, so I won't be filling any more individual requests for the moment -- but I have and will continue to make note of them, and I'm planning to fill all the ones I can after the dust has settled.

Mediafire
I will just say this about Mediafire: on other non-DiD forums I tried sharing edits of various things (mainly sports or film crops), but often Mediafire outright blocked my files due to "copyright violation". Automatically, that is.

Somehow they detected things like TV logos or even.....man I dunno, some very sneaky shit. I even tried putting files in a RAR, but that didn't get by them either! I even tried ENCRYPTING them, but free users aren't permitted to do that with RARs. Not friendly at all.

So there's my issue, for whoever suggests for me to switch to Mediafire. I know it's great for downloaders, and others such as Florentina have made it work, but I've never (since 2013) had a good experience with uploading to it on a free account.

Yikes. Sorry to hear it...that sucks. When something seems too good to be true...

I've seen some speculation that they treat their free and paid users noticeably differently when it comes to copyright issues. I'm planning to keep up with the $5 a month, and I'm not exactly planning to keep a low profile, so I guess we'll see what happens.

BTW, MediaFire Desktop apparently gets really confused when you change filenames in a folder that it's currently syncing, so the archive I posted earlier is a bit of a mess at the moment. The files themselves are fine, but there are duplicates with overlapping naming conventions etc. If anyone's poking around in there, you might want to hold off for an hour or two until I can clean things up. I'll post again once things are back to normal.

Sendspace doesn't care what type of OS you're using. Just be sure to follow the download link carefully, and DO NOT DOWNLOAD ANY OF THE MALWARE.

You need to examine the sendspace page when you want to download. There is a box which you need to unselect so that you do not load their "download accelerator" to your computer.

In addition, make sure your browser prompts you and does not start downloading automatically. Double-check that the selected file is actually the file that you want, and not anything else (especially an ".exe" file of any kind.

This is maybe a little off-topic, but I just want to say that from an IT perspective, you really, really should be running an ad-blocker plugin on your browser. It's not just a matter of convenience. Allowing websites to deliver you content from third party sites that they have little to no control over, which is how web advertising works, is an unbelievable security nightmare and leaves you wide open to all sorts of exploits. I've known people who were following all the security rules, doing everything right, and got hit with ransomware simply by going to a site where one of the ads was running a 0-day unpatched exploit. If you're not running an ad-blocker plugin at home, I would strongly urge you to seriously reconsider your decision.

The ads on the site are fine, by the way. Don't worry about them.

Raffish Request
Hi!

I'm so glad to see you're back and taking requests, as I've 1 or possibly 2 requests, which are the 'Hollyoaks' scene with Danielle Brent and possibly the 'Casualty' scene with Sandra Huggett, both from 2001.

The reason I say possibly 2 requests and possibly the 'Casualty' scene is because I already have that scene, but I'd like the part at the end where her tape gag is removed by her captor. I've got caps of that part, but as far as I'm aware none of the versions on the Internet have it as part of the scene. Is that part on the version you've got? If not, that's fine, I only have the 1 request for the 'Hollyoaks' scene.

I've never found the 'Hollyoaks' scene with Danielle Brent on the Internet apart from in your collection, but I can't sign up to your website as I don't have a credit card, only a debit card. I'd really like that scene as I've not seen it since it was first broadcast 14 years ago and I've been searching for it ever since.

If you have the ungagging part of the 'Casualty' scene and if you want to let me have 1 scene this week and the other next week that's fine, and many thanks in advance!

About requests
Hey all, so about those requests...three things.

First, I'm going to ask that you email them to me from here on out. I frankly wasn't expecting quite so many, and I don't want them to hurt the signal-to-noise ratio on the page.

Second, within the next day, I've decided to post every single clip from my old site to MediaFire, because I can. That should go a pretty long way toward helping folks find what they're looking for.

Third, I'll continue to make upgraded clips specifically for requests, but not for scenes that are too old/rare to have a better first-generation source (to which I have access) than VHS. There's really not much point in making a VHS-sourced clip larger than 320x240; mostly it just wastes disk space.

Those caveats aside, if you're looking for a scene from the old site that might actually benefit from better resolution, request away! (By email, please)
