| So since Raffish got me to delurk after twenty years (thanks for that Chandler & Co scene- it is truly a thing of beauty), I may as well start posting. I've been going through the database looking for stuff that exists as upgrades to Raffish's old clips on Youtube (a lot of it does) and compiling a request queue, and occasionally run across something I haven't seen before. This is a scene from Como tu, ninguna, a Venezuelan novela, record 6190. The database didn't specify episode numbers, but I just guessed that it'd be somewhere towards the end, and hit pay dirt. It's a protracted sequence- gag from eps 283-285, no gag thereafter towards the end. It's also a little dull in the way that novelas frequently are, dark and pretty static, but I've never seen it before, so worth a share. |

| Sorry if this is common knowledge by now...I didn't know this was quite so easy to do until just the other day, and thought some might find it useful. If you want to link directly to the beginning of a scene in a YouTube clip, just do this: 1) Scan to the beginning of the scene and pause playback. 2) Right-click on the video (or control-click if you're on a Mac). 3) Select "Get video URL at current time" from the pop-up menu. 4) Copy the youtu.be URL from the box. Pretty handy, Google. |

I remember the first clip I had of "Terror Among Us" which was something like 144p and 10th generation. The new stuff presents its own challenges. The trend I'm seeing now with stuff is to mess with the pallette. I got in the habit of not ever deleting stuff twenty years ago, and I've been fortunate enough to not have a catastrophic drive failure during that time. I found a reasonably stable home for them in the form of Sendspace, but it has limitations. Filesize is max.300MB per file; they are automatically deleted after a month of inactivity; download speeds are quite slow; users who are unfamiliar with how sites like these work often end up failing to tick a box which downloads malware. IMHO it's a nice stable site & I like keeping track of them via my free account, but all those limitations means it definitely can't please everyone. Of the thousands of files I once might've had online since 2013, only around 200 of those are still active. I don't ever plan on doing any kind of mass-reupload to Sendspace, so YES PLEASE share any of my edits you grabbed from back then! |
