I saved the description from that post: Entraves - 2005 Woman walks in on 2 burglers when she comes home. She is tied and gagged and they leave her alone. She's tied with phone cords and gagged with black tape. She really struggles all over her home to try and free herself. She slides along the floor and discovers they used her only phone's cords to tie her up. She tried going to the kitchen to use a knife but can't cut through the cords. She tries kicking the wall to alert someone. She even tries turning up her stereo up to get attention. She starts going into a diabetic shock and flips out. She can't free.... After a very long ordeal she gets to her balcony and see some hedge trimmers... What a very GREAT scene this is... |

As I mentioned in email, I started doing an edit, only to discover that MJ's clip of the scene contains shots that the "complete" film does not. I wonder if they got hold of an earlier edit, or...? | Hi Raffish - I wonder if you have the following from MJ's old site and, if so, would you be prepared to re-post? They are not readily available elsewhere and my memory is that they were of reasonable quality. - Two Poliladron scenes (including Laura Novoa's sensational video store spreadeagle in a mini skirt) - Three Nestor Burma scenes featuring the luscious Jeanne Savary as France's most put-upon secretary - Two or three scenes from Angeles (I think your old site also featured a couple good scenes from this short-lived but bondage-friendly Mexican series) |

I'm not entirely sure I can fathom where MJ's managed to dig up some of the stuff they did. When I went looking for the film under the "Entraves" title accompanied by the name of the actress, I was only able to find one reference indexed by Google on a French website- and the reference only remained in Google's cache. The website itself no longer contained any information on the film. However, the cache had enough info on other cast and crew that I was able to dig up the new edit on Vimeo that way- and having the text description available it was a pretty good bet that "Insuline" was the same film. Even seeing it on Vimeo it's still mysterious. Not sure when it was made. The Vimeo up is higher quality (I will not say bad things about MJ's encoding standards, I will not say bad things about MJ's encoding standards)- actually, looking at my download, it's 576, so not really HD- but I suspect it to have been transferred from an analog medium. Nothing on IMDB under either title. The description text isn't mine, incidentally- it comes from one of those "top 10 scenes" rundowns by a DID blogger whose name escapes me at present. Also, the Vimeo clip I linked to has English subtitles- the same account has a version without subtitles if that happens to be anyone's preference. |

| Most likely, the film was produced under the title Entraves in 2005 with a running time of 18:33 minutes, later re-edited and re-released under Insuline. The link is the production company, who also created the vimeo account. Yea, but the chances of finding that series in HD are unquestionably zero. Previous edits of that scene have barely made it past HQ in terms of quality, which I lament coz it's in my top 5 of all time. |

I feel I'd be remiss if I didn't note this is probably the most egregious example I've ever seen of the "hostage needs insulin not to die" ticking clock. It's a total myth. A diabetic will no more die (or go into a coma) from having a delayed insulin shot than you'll suddenly die of heart disease from eating a triple cheeseburger. It doesn't work that way. It's not like getting bit by a rattlesnake and needing antivenin. But on the other hand, who cares? I love a long struggle scene from a hot damsel, and even though black tape is one of my least favorite gags, she makes it work. Nice stuff. |

Most annoying is that you could easily create a realistic scenario: Damsel has just given herself an insuline shot before lunch when some thugs bust in and tie her up before she can start eating. In that case, the clock could really be ticking for her. Has anyone ever encountered this on TV? I vaguely remember having seen it once, but it could also be a figment of my imagination. |

| Korean movie with a scene -- but very violent. Not in DB so posting now. At 1:26:30, a woman is laying on the ground with her hands tied behind her back. From there, she endures some incredible abuse from a man. I'll leave out the gory details. After taking just too much, she picks up a sharp knife by closing her mouth over the end of the handle (the same knife he used to torment her) -- and stabs him severely in the torso. She then works loose and finishes him off. No close-up of her limbs tied. No gag. But this thing puts Western feminist revenge movies to shame in its intensity... Scene concludes at 1:31:30 |
