| Rolling out another old show here with better quality than we have seen. Show is largely hit-or-miss but it did keep Stefanie Powers busy although largely simple ties or putz issues. I left a few out of this flood because they were too putzy or too geriatric for my tastes. But if you need them for completist sake, I will oblige upon request. The bindings appear to be serious, but, as is often the case on tv, a little wiggling of the wrists while the villianess taunts her with a knife and Mrs. H is free of them. Unfortunately, no good full frontal shot of Mrs H tied up in the slip, just her head and shoulders--only really see her after she has escaped the bonds and goes out the window to the fire escape. Title: Hart to Hart (1984) Medium: TV Series Actress: Jennifer Roven, Sally Kemp Description: Episode: "Meanwhile, Back at the Ranch" (5.22) In the last 5mins, some armed but well-spoken baddies invade the home of some rich folks. The Harts are on the scene to try and rescue these folks, who are shown sitting on a couch in the living room downstairs. The two women of this group, Janet (Roven) and Angie (Kemp), are bound and gagged with two men; in a short sequence, we see them all sitting on sofas with their hands behind their backs (no bonds visible). Angie is already cleave gagged with a huge knotted cleave, while a protesting Janet gets hers applied onscreen by a rogue maid; nice angry gag-talk. They are rescued offscreen. Unfortunately, Jennifer Hart (Stefanie Powers), while also captured by the bad guys and taken elsewhere in the house, is not tied up. |

The camera showing Stefanie from behind for like 15 seconds with no noise from her, the wait to see if she was gagged would have been unbearable. But here's the bad news. That's a stunt double, not Stefanie Powers in the chair. Notice she's never seen from the front during any distant shots, and when she breaks free, her face is convientley hidden from the camera. It was very common in the 1980s for actrsses to have stunt doubles/stand-ins, I'm not sure if they do that nymore. I've read that Janet Gunn's first job was Susan Howard's stunt double in "Dallas" and Susan Howard never did much of anything in that series except push JR into the pool once. |
