| I haven't seen the film, only jumped between random scenes but from the summary of the main villain's actions here https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=16738556630A78599000&page=477#comment-11905 and the summary on wikipedia I've found two scenes, the first at 29:50 which has the main villain force a Caucasian whistlebroker tied to a chair, hands behind to confirm the protag's wife is a traitor (it's a frameup). The tvtropes post says the villain kills her afterwards but I fastforwarded 15 minutes and didn't find anything. The second at 1 hour:32 minutes where the wife has been captured and her hands tied. The protag takes the villain's deal and offers himself up and they sit at a table for negotiations (they're kind enough to let him sit by his wife). The protag however manages to reveal that the main villain was actually double-crossing one of his partners and with that chaos along with good guy backup showing up outside a massive firefight ensures with the protag tackling his bound wife to the floor and hiding behind the table for cover. You can see her wrists tied with some sort of plasti-cuffs as he cuts it with a knife. They flee and the main villain chases after them after the chaos subsides. There's some more firefight after the protag finds a gun. The wife gets shot in the crossfire so sad ending, but she wasn't bound when killed.
