Blakiston is left laying on the floor tied hand and foot, and gagged with a white cleave improvised from her surgical mask. She attracts help by kicking the furniture, and Mrs. Peel is in turn captured. She is tightly bound down to an operating table and cleave gagged with a white cloth (perhaps gauze), complete with packing. The villains discuss her fate as she struggles against her bonds. Later she is tied down to the railroad tracks as a train approaches. Will Steed save her in time? Great close-ups, and Diana Rigg looks awesome in her tight leather jumper and knee-high black leather boots. Since the train is a scale model, Mrs. Peel is bound parallel with the tracks, rather than across them in the classical style. Her wrists are tied to each rail above her head and her ankles are similarly bound in a modified spreadeagle. Diana struggles against her bonds as Steed fights his way across the grounds in an attempt to save her, as the piano score pays homage to the silent serials which inspired the entire sequence. Steed manages to free Emma from the tracks in time for her to use use her legs in the battle, while still wearing her tight two-piece gag. The Nurse is captured at 35 minutes and seen again tied at 37 minutes. Mrs Peel is tied to the operating table at 39 minutes then to the tracks at 42 minutes with short shots of her struggling from 43 minutes between shots of Steed fighting with the train driver and is rescued at 46 minutes in a 50 minute broadcast without adverts. Narrow gauge ride-on large model train. Wearing leather suit (with some fabric in the top so not a complete catsuit as some other episodes). One final note about the location used for this episode- there are publicity stills which show Diana tied across the rails in more expected posture, and being teased by Patrick MacNee (Steed). They employ a Steed lookalike to kill the real Steed and take his place at the conference. To test the fake Steed he is introduced to Emma Peel at a cocktail party at the Russian Embassy. Emma rumbles he is not the real Steed and tries to make a phone call but the line goes dead. As she tries to leave she is held at gunpoint and taken hostage. This happens around 30 mins into the episode and we regularly see a tied up Emma from 34 mins to 43 mins. Emma is carried into a room by two security guards. Her hands have already been tied together in front of her and her ankles tied together. The guards place Emma on the floor. She is sat with her back against a wall next to a fireplace. Emma is wearing dark trousers and a sleeveless dark top with light buttons down the front. She is tied up with what looks like strips of leather. There are good shots and several close ups of Emma's bonds. Her bare arms make the bonds easy to see as do her exposed ankles, which are tied between her trousers and shoes. Emma eventually manages to free herself by using a piece of glass which was earlier thrown into the fireplace. There are several scenes of Emma rubbing her bonds against the glass. For female on female fans, Alicia Elena, one of the members of PSEV, is played by Maria Machado (a very attractive blonde). Unfortunately Emma is not gagged. However the scenes are very good. She is wearing what appears to be a body stocking with 'feather' boa and strategically placed 'feathers'. Perhaps canary yellow but, like other episodes at this time, filmed in black and white. First seen at 35 minutes and at intervals later. Steed, in an attempt to find her, enlists another agent, Georgie (Fraser). At about 37 minutes Steed takes her in a cab to the suspected abductor's agent. He asks her to hold a roll of tape as he tears off a length then tapes her mouth in mid-sentence, ties her wrists in front with more of the tape (while she expostulates "Charming!" under the tape and the cabbie risks a collision by trying to see what's going on in the back seat), and finally delivers her to the white slaver's doorstep. When, looking out of the peephole and beholding a girl wearing adhesive tape over her mouth, the doorkeeper asks, 'Who's there?' Steed replies, "Special delivery...perishables". When the door is opened she removes the tape as Steed fights with the occupant and tells her to pay the cabbie as the meter is still running. At 42 minutes Mrs Peel is shown still in the cage on a large TV monitor as she is auctioned, for her code breaking ability and knowledge of western defence secrets, to a gathering of foreign agents. When Steed and Georgie arrive to rescue Mrs Peel in the fight she grabs the female villain, who has the cage keys on her belt, and, perhaps strangely, is able to immobilise her by bending the bars of the cage around her. Mrs Peel then removes the cage keys and releases herself. Times for a 50 minute broadcast without adverts.
