The preview for "The Toad Who Would be Prince" showed a couple of kimonoed young ladies (if not more) bound by the wrists and being led off ... the voiceover spoke of "kidnapped girls" and saving a princess. . |

| @8:00am BravoC Record number: 615 Title: General, The (1927) Medium: Movie Actress: Marion Mack Description: In this American Civil War comedy, Union saboteurs seize a railway train while the passengers are having lunch in the station. They find Marion Mack still on the train so they bind her hands behind her back, and gag her with a cloth. In a later shot we see them carrying her across the top of the train. A rope has been wrapped around her skirt. In the third shot she is sitting atop the wood on the tender with her gag and the skirt wrappings gone but her hands appearently still tied behind her. Later she is led into a house with her hands now unbound. She is locked in a bedroom but escapes with the aid of Buster Keaton. He smuggles her out by putting her in a large sack. @5:00pm TeleToon [Rogers ch 45] Record number: 4584 Title: Scooby Doo and the Witch's Ghost (1999) Medium: TV Movie Actress: Animated Description: The gang's after a witch's ghost (do tell) in this recent attempt to milk the cash cow that is Scooby Inc. Anyway, around the 60' mark, Dusk, Luna and Thorn, members of a Goth grrl band, are bound together to a pole, yarn pinning their arms to their sides. A few brief shots interspersed throughout the sequence. And Daph finds herself in the clutches of animated tree roots, which wrap themselves around her body and move menacingly toward her mouth and no further. No mufflement this outing, I'm afraid. Still, a nice, if brief, scene. Later, she also has her ankles ensnared by the roots of a magically mutated pumpkin. The sequence lasts about twelve minutes, including a commercial break, ending with the band members being freed. @9:00pm CITY [Originating from WGRZ (NBC) Buffalo US] Record number: 1688 Title: Bowfinger (1999) Medium: Movie Actress: Heather Graham Description: She's shown standing ungagged with her hands manacled over her head in several scenes from a "movie within a movie" her character acts in at the end of the film. |
