Record number: 24 Title: Tie Me Up, Tie Me Down (1990) Medium: Movie Actress: Victoria Abril Description: Spanish film that introduced Antonio Banderas to US audiences had Abril as a B-movie actress the released mental patient played by Banderas admires. He kidnaps her and takes her to a vacationing neighbor's apartment, leaving her tied to the bed and gagged with white medical tape. He is trying to wean her off heroin, and they fall in love, of course, while she makes several attempts to escape, even retying and gagging herself when she hears him come back. When her sister finds her, Abril isn't all that anxious to leave, prompting the sister to say "You've fallen in love with your kidnapper? I suppose you like being tied up?" Abril just shrugs. As a fringe benefit to some of us, there are lingering closeups of the captive's bare feet. |

After a few fruitless attempts to get free, Buffy succeeds in getting hold of a scalpel or something from the wheel-table with surgical instruments the cruel Invisible Girl has placed too close to her. She cuts herself free, and after a fight the invisible girl is taken away by two FBI men. In the end, Cordelia asks, "Can I be untied now?" As Buffy prepares to down the evil presence there is one of the most effective scenes in the whole of the series. Buffy stands silently so that her keen senses can tell where the enemy is located. A light breeze blows through her hair; the whole scene is magical. Then she does her stuff. |

A young heiress is being held captive by her kidnappers in a hangar at an abandoned airfield. Batman breaks through the skylight, battles the baddies, and rescues her. Top flight close, medium and long range frames of the young woman, who is bound kneeling to a post and over the mouth gagged, while wearing a sweatertop and skirt outfit. Excellent reaction shots as the drama unfolds. Fine animated bondage, and the only gag scene I'm aware of in the series, although the video RETURN OF THE JOKER has a nice muffling. |

Three different tie-ups for two girls. First is of one girl tied to a chair with arms tied to the armrests and ropes around her body. Second is of both girls tied to chairs back to back. Prettier one in a miniskirt. Third is of both girls tied hands in front and ankles together on a sofa. Haven't seen this one, so don't know if there are gags. |

| In the last 10 minutes of today's episode, "Amber" (Adrienne Frantz) is kidnapped by "Sheila" and has her hands tied behind her back. No gag yet. She's taken to a construction site and the episode ended with "Sheila" coming after her with hedge clippers.
No closeups of her hands and scene takes place at night in a driving rainstorm. Should be more tomorrow. |

| About two years ago I was flipping chennels and came across a scene of a guy & a girl taped up to a gas stove with the gas on but no pilot light. I don't know when in the movie it takes place but it does include tape gags. |
