Record number: 11623 Title: Into the Blue (2005) Medium: Movie Actress: Jessica Alba aka Jessica Marie Alba Description: Towards the end of the film, Alba is captured offscreen and is being held captive on a ship. During a phone call to one of her friends, she is shown from above the shoulders in a close-up seated next to her captor. Duct tape has been wrapped once around her mouth, and her hands are bound behind her (no visible bonds at this point). Such is the tightness of her wraparound gag, the tape even covers the lower part of her ears; in a nice visual touch, she turns her head to the side for us to get a good view of it. As the phone call ends, we still see her from the same angle whilst her captor indulges in a typical bad guy monologue. She becomes teary-eyed as he makes his threats, then shoots dead a fellow captor in front of her, which prompts a muffled scream and some wide-eyed mmpphhs (some of his blood manages to splatter onto her face and shoulders, but it's not particularly graphic). Only once is she shown briefly from further away, from the waist up, as she remains seated. A while later, she has been moved offscreen to an area below deck. Now only handcuffed by one hand to the aforementioned dead captor's body, the sequence begins with her lying on her stomach (she was most likely knocked out) and slowly trying to pull herself up using her free hand. Lots of good, well-lit full-body shots close-ups as she stares dejectedly--and still tightly tape gagged--at her aforementioned friend who has come to save her. From hereon she spends about a minute struggling to free herself. First she rips away the tape from her mouth, then starts to laboriously drag the body across the floor in order to find something to cut away the handcuffs. A large knife winds up doing the trick, which she uses to hack away the guy's hand (thankfully it cuts away just before). Attire-wise, our perpetual damsel Alba wears an attractive striped tanktop with spaghetti straps, as well as light blue jeans. She is also barefoot, which is shown extensively in the second part of the scene. |

Medium: Movie Actress: Stefanie Powers Description: Held prisoner by her dead fiance's mother, Ms. Powers is bound and gagged with a thick woolen cleave. She tries to alert someone at the door by thumping down a staircase. In the last twenty minutes or so (without commercials). Prior to this, but still in the second half, she's the recipient of a relatively lengthy handgag. Right before the gagged scene, Stefanie Powers gets another handgag as she is trying to explain to one of her captors that her cohert, assisting in getting the bonds on Ms. Powers killed her husband. The woman slaps a handgag on firmly and yells tot he other lady, "Gag and bind her!" And the gagged scene is an over the mouth detective gag which turns into a cleave gag as the scenes unfold and presumably from Ms. Powers struggles. Just as her fiance is leaving, Ms. Powers works her gag off and screams "ALLEN!!!" but alas it is too late. |

Two short scenes. When she gets ungagged by a Scotland Yard detective, she sighs, "Halliday, I'm not going to play Mata Hari any more." Too bad -- she's cute. |
