Also with them is a young female Nebari prisoner Chiana (Edgley) who is dragged on board locked in scissor cuffs with a high tech discipline collar attached around her neck. When she struggles overmuch, the collar gives her a nasty jolt. We get several views of Chiana on and off until eventually, about halfway through the episode, she manages to free herself. Meanwhile things have turned nasty and Durka is taking over Moya. He overpowers Aeryn (Claudia Black), and she is kept kneeling before him, hands tied behind her back. Again, we get quite a few views of Aeryn until she, too, breaks free. Naturally in the end our heroes win through. |

Record number: 11623 Title: Into the Blue (2005) Medium: Movie Actress: Jessica Alba aka Jessica Marie Alba Description: Towards the end of the film, Alba is captured offscreen and is being held captive on a ship. During a phone call to one of her friends, she is shown from above the shoulders in a close-up seated next to her captor. Duct tape has been wrapped once around her mouth, and her hands are bound behind her (no visible bonds at this point). Such is the tightness of her wraparound gag, the tape even covers the lower part of her ears; in a nice visual touch, she turns her head to the side for us to get a good view of it. As the phone call ends, we still see her from the same angle whilst her captor indulges in a typical bad guy monologue. She becomes teary-eyed as he makes his threats, then shoots dead a fellow captor in front of her, which prompts a muffled scream and some wide-eyed mmpphhs (some of his blood manages to splatter onto her face and shoulders, but it's not particularly graphic). Only once is she shown briefly from further away, from the waist up, as she remains seated. A while later, she has been moved offscreen to an area below deck. Now only handcuffed by one hand to the aforementioned dead captor's body, the sequence begins with her lying on her stomach (she was most likely knocked out) and slowly trying to pull herself up using her free hand. Lots of good, well-lit full-body shots close-ups as she stares dejectedly--and still tightly tape gagged--at her aforementioned friend who has come to save her. From hereon she spends about a minute struggling to free herself. First she rips away the tape from her mouth, then starts to laboriously drag the body across the floor in order to find something to cut away the handcuffs. A large knife winds up doing the trick, which she uses to hack away the guy's hand (thankfully it cuts away just before). Attire-wise, our perpetual damsel Alba wears an attractive striped tanktop with spaghetti straps, as well as light blue jeans. She is also barefoot, which is shown extensively in the second part of the scene. |

Shannon is tied to a chair hands-behind (no gag)with the bomb in her lap. A fire extinguisher is used to freeze the timer so that the hero has time to cut her loose. After she is freed, he finds the villain with Carly, who is tied-AOH and OTM-gagged with a dark cloth. While the hero fights with the bad guy, Shannon uses a high caliber rifle to break the chain holding Carly. Carly then frees herself, and throws the bomb which had been tied to her at the villain. |

Record number: 2441 Title: A Clockwork Orange (1971) Medium: Movie Actress: Adrienne Corri Description: After she falls for the old "There's been an accident, may I use your phone?" trick, she gets lifted over the shoulder of one the baddies who invade her home. He holds her standing with her hands behind as the lead baddie Alex (Malcolm McDowell) proceeds to gag her with a red ball and transparent adhesive tape, then cuts off her red pantsuit (starting at her breasts), all the while belting out a rendition of "Singing in the Rain" Apparently, the actress spent much more time gagged than what is seen in the movie, because Kubrick filmed this scene several times and wasn't happy with it each time - until he told McDowell to just "do anything he wanted". McDowell decided to belt out "Singing in the Rain" and Kubrick was so pleased with how much better the scene became that he acquired the rights to use the song immediately. The scene occurs in the first 30 minutes. Also of interest is a pop art painting of a woman who appears to be bound and gagged, seen during a second home invasion about 25' later. It's never shown in closeup, though. |
