She's menanced by the evil Piter de Vries (Brad Dourif). A short while later she's seen in a shuttlecraft or some such. She's about to be molested when Paul uses "the Voice" (or whatever) to control their captor. In the three-hour SCIFI airing the sequence begins around 90' in and ends about ten minutes later, commercial break included. |

Record number: 7785 Title: Escape in the Fog (1945) Medium: Movie Actress: Nina Foch Description: Mystery/espionage potboiler starring William Wright as the stalwart hero and a young (yes, she was young once) Nina Foch as the leading lady. Anyhow, near the end a surprisingly cute Nina is handgagged briefly by the dastardly Axis spies and tied to a chair in a basement. Wright captured shortly thereafter and confined in the same room. Interestingly, he's chained by one ankle to the far wall and allowed to wander around almost freely within the room as the two await seeping gas to fill it and explode, killing them, but the chain isn't long enough to reach Nina's chair. She sits there in apparent comfort (though not gagged, darn it) and makes no attempt at hitching the chair closer to him so her bonds can come within his reach. They converse, confer and commisserate, but it's just as if her bound condition is an everyday thing for them. I like it! Finally, they are rescued (after Wright flicks his cigarette lighter without incinerating them, somehow) and the good guys release her, but there are no verbal attacks on Wright for failing to do this immediately upon being locked in with her. If only all gals were so cooperative and easy-going, eh? |

No gag. Guy alert. At the end of the film, Ally's hands are tied behind her back, she's also gagged very tightly with a strip of black cloth tied over her mouth. Lots of squirming. Lilyan is also bound hands behind and ungagged inside a barn at same time. Guy alert. |
