OK, from all I've read, the "black slave girls for your pleasure" theme is a major factor focus for Tarantino in this flick -- so, wonder if the film's sexy starlet Kerry Washington gets the treatment. Anyone seen the flick? |

Friday December 28 15:57:37 2012 Entrance |
Title: Entrance Medium: Movie Actress: Suziey Block (Someone posted the trailer for this movie recently. It has an extended DID scene at the end, although you'd never expect that from the way the movie starts. Here's the new DB entry for it.) Description: In the last 10 minutes or so of this movie that goes from mundane to murder, Suziey searches a pitch-black basement with a flashlight. (What could go wrong with that, DID-fans?) She is, of course, knocked out from behind. We next see her face down on the floor with a black-sponge-like gag in her mouth. A man then wraps her hands individually with gray duct tape (but not taped together) -- and her hands more so than her wrists. Next, he applies a pair of white, police-type flex-cuffs to her wrists behind her back. So the tape was either to prevent her discomfort (highly unlikely) or just there to keep her from slipping the flex-cuffs off. This guy came prepared. He soon stabs another girl to death in the background, partially hidden by a wall. The gagged and handcuffed girl gets up and wanders around for awhile in a scene similar to Texas Chainsaw Massacre. One girl is dead on the floor (just mentioned). Another girl has been stabbed and dying on a kitchen floor. It is all pretty grisly -- realistic yet surreal. The scene continues on -- and she stays gagged and handcuffed, never even attempting to remove any of her restraints. He had her. He came prepared -- and she knew it. He had captured the girl he had stalked... |

Friday December 28 21:44:49 2012 Grindl |
The "Glynis" memory reminded me of another wacky, short-lived '60s sitcom that featured a damsel who was somewhat past her prime. Imogene Coca starred as the title character in "Grindl." According to Veoh.com: "In this short lived series, Imogene Coca stars as Grindl, a temp worker at Mr. Foster's Agency. Each episode finds Grindl in another situation that usually goes wrong for one reason or another." In one episode she was caught snooping on a sinister gardener neighbor. She was gagged and tied down on a conveyor belt, headed toward spiked rollers that threatened to turn her into human mulch -- the horrible secret of his success as a horticulturist. If I had to guess, I'd say it was probably Episode 30: Everything's Coming Up Roses (4/13/1964) |

Friday December 28 22:40:53 2012 Bionic Woman |
I've been going through The Bionic Woman episodes, which someone has posted on Daily Motion. Found a few scenes not in the database. But I was most struck by the episode Jaime and the King. Jaime steals a belly dancer outfit at one point and spends much of the second half of the episode wearing it. At one point, she is even captured in it. Unfortunately no ropes. Could have been a classic scene along the lines of It Takes A Thief: Case of Red Turnips. |
