| Latest issue of the comic book advance order magazine "Previews" has at least one point of interest to us. One (of the two) covers for Image Comics' upcoming "Mind the Gap" #9 shows the face of a woman in a dark room with some light on her coming in through blinds on a window. There's a strip of white tape over her mouth. The series I think is about a woman in a coma, so the cover may be symbolic rather than indicative of more stuff in the story, but you never know. Scheduled to be out in late Feb. or early March. |

| In this 2 part mini series that is airing on Showcase TV in Canada, there is a scene in the second hour of part 1. Erica Wessels character Shelagh is kidnapped by baddies...shown being taken from a car trunk, zip tied and cleave gagged, into a small trailer. Some close ups in the trailer, bad guy comes in to talk to her... that's as much as I saw before I had to go to work, haven't had a chance to watch the rest. |

| At least from the trailer. There was some discussion here before about this movie, which was directed by Katie Aselton of The League TV sitcom and written by her husband Mark Duplass (also of The League). Aselton stars with fellow hotties Lake Bell and Kate Bosworth in this thriller set on an island, where the ladies end up at odds against some hunters (or something like that). The good news, based on the trailer: They get tied up! The bad news: everything else. From a couple of seconds on the trailer, you can see all three with their hands tied in front super-lamely. No gags. Aselton says something to the bad guys about them "tying up three girls to a tree." Sounds a lot better than it looks, believe me. Of course, that's just one scene, but there's little indication we'll get anything more. The ladies all look a bit roughed up and appear to escape right after the trailer scene. Hopefully I'm wrong on that, but I'm not optimistic. You can find the trailer on the film's IMDB page. The scene of note occurs at the 1:34 mark. |
