Re: Claire Danes OTM homeland
Loved it! Was beginning to think Homeland would never have a scene. I give it a near-perfect 9 out of 10, with only an onscreen gagging that could've been added; although the ungagging was just as good, especially with the pissed-off look on Danes' face when her mouth packing was pulled out. For once, on a high-profile mainstream show, that gag actually looked very tight & effective.

Plus, I've had a thing for her ever since Terminator 3. Great way to round out the year.

Re: Claire Danes OTM homeland
In the spirit of nit-picking a semi-decent scene to death, I could have done with less of that lower lip sticking out from underneath her gag.

Once Upon A Time - "Queen Of Hearts"
Another "sort of" scene for Aurora (Sarah Bolger), after the heroes find out about Hook taking her heart and they set out to go stop Cora from going to Storybrooke, Aurora asks her friend Mulan to leave her tied up so Cora can't use her against them. Mulan obliges and we see her starting to tie Aurora's wrists behind her back before the scene ends.

Cmon man! these hands in front scenes, they gotta stop. This was supposed to be a "gritty realistic scene." Hence the blood, right? And she's supposed to be an intelligent strong type. But too stupid to pull the gag off with her damned hands. Unreal to the point of laughable.

I agree...hands in front is stupid. I was being charitable when I called the scene semi-decent.

It's the gag that matters most to me and the fish lip thing kinda killed it for me.

Amores Verdaderos
There's a scene coming up this week on the US airing of the Spanish language soap "Amores Verdaderos." Apparently Eiza Gonzalez and Marjorie de Sousa get kidnapped and tape-gagged this week. Scenes aired about two months ago in Mexico airing, but I have no idea as to details as I haven't seen the scenes. "Amores Verdaderos" airs at 8 pm CT on Univision.

I actually quite liked the lower lip sticking out. It gave the scene a sort of nuance, non-uniformity, hastily-but-still-tightly-applied kinda impression. Plus, since there was stuffing behind the cloth, which was tightly tied anyway, I didn't mind a bit of those luscious lips of hers showing; almost like a semi-demi-quasi-pseudo slapdash cleave.

It's definitely another candidate for my top 10 scenes of the year. For me it'll be the toughest bunch to pick from yet!

Maybe I'm wrong, but it appears to me that she is gagged completely OTM with white cloth and she has her hands zipped tied above her head. So, I can't see how she could reach down and pull the gag off her mouth. I could be wrong, but that the way the picture that I saw looks like to me.

Anyway, its Claire Daines, bruised face not withstanding.

How was she grabbed? Who grabbed her and why?

Can someone describe the scene.

Dextor thanks for the alert. According to promos it looks like the kidnapping scene could take place tonight. And for once it looks like the really hot ones will get the treatment. Again thanks for the alert. Thats at 9pm for those on est like me.

Castle/Hawaii 5-0
Nothing on both shows although I missed first part of Castle

Wasted opportunity in Hawaii. Nice buildup in a hotel room but it turns into a confrontation where female stalker threatens model with knife - who gives some really awful line readings ("I never received the letters. Don't hurt me. Please go")

She was driving and the thugs crashed into her car. When next seen, she was bound and gagged.

I'm not saying she isn't hot. I'm a gag snob, and she wore it pretty well. Cute nose. I'm just saying how much better it would be if they tied her hands behind her back like a normal captor. She could easily bring her mouth up to her hands, if not her hands to her mouth, and that kind of kills the gag for me. I hate when they make a damsel look stupid. I like the shrewd, intelligent, but helpless type.

I actually like the hands in front and gag concept. It tells me the woman is too scared of the consequences of taking off the gag. Its so reachable but she dare not do it so shes forced to keep it on. In this instance that doesnt ring true as shes usually such a feisty character but wanted to explain another angle

Taking at the end. Preview shows one blonde with hands tied behind in tomorrow's episode.

Re: Claire Danes OTM homeland
I now understand your point, Doug, you are right about how she could have easily put her face up to hands and remove the gag. I also agree with you about the amount of scenes of damsels with their hands tied in front this television season. Looks like the hands behind scenes is kind of style on network Television.
