La Dueña. Written by José Ignacio Cabrujas, Julio César Mármol and José Salas. Don't mention whether the original telenovela had any scenes.

Hey Hallbird, read before you write, It's based on La Duena
check the database!!!

La Patrona
Hey Jack, you're about La Duena producing a scene for Angelica Rivera, a lengthy one at that, but Lucero's version of the telenovela was called Soy Tu Duena, not La Duena.

Has anyone checked this one out yet. I tried searching the forum but nothing came back. I saw it at redbox but didn't pick it up. The trailer showed something at about the 2:25 point.

She does look nice in her gag in Playback. It's well sealed, but I have to say I'm really very tired of duct tape gags. She would have looked SO much better with a cleave.

I like her better with tape.

Re: playback
I think Playback was one of the best movie scenes of the year, despite the dark lighting throughout. I particularly loved how Childers put up such a mighty struggle (with strained, LOUD mmpphhing) in the basement to try & slip her hands underneath her legs, and even then only succeeded in running around the house with her hands still tied behind those cute gym shorts.

Hell, I think we've been pretty damn spoiled for great scenes this year. Way too many to choose from. But that's IMO, coz I don't have such a huge preference for modern vs classical scenes, cleave vs tape, chairtie vs floor, etc.

La Duena, Soy tu duena, & La Patrona
A bit of confusion here, but the upcoming Telemundo production starring Aracely Arambula called "La Patrona" is based on a 1984 Venezuelan soap called "La Duena" that is completely unrelated to the 1995 Mexican soap "La Duena" or its 2010 Mexican remake "Soy tu duena," which both saw their lead actresses - Angelica Rivera and Lucero - chloroformed and bound and cleave-gagged toward the end of the series.

I've never seen the 1984 "La Duena," so maybe there was something in that too, but it is not the same story as the Mexican "La Duena." (And anyway, Telemundo usually changes things a lot in their remakes, usually for the better for us, that is, adding suspense elements like extra kidnappings.) Just reading a synopsis of "La Patrona," and apparently ARacely Arambula's character does get kidnapped early on and locked away at an insane asylum, so there might be something there - at the very least a straitjacket scene. I agree, it's high time she got gagged in a soap, so far the rare lead actress on these Spanish shows who has completely avoided a full treatment scene.

That is also true of Monica Spear, the lead actress of Telemundo's other new upcoming soap, "Pasion Prohibida," a former Miss Venezuela who has been tied up a few times but never gagged. Hopefully Telemundo will rectify that in her new show.

And somebody asked a while ago about Carmen Villalobos new show, "Bazurto" aka "Made in Cartagena" - a suspense soap with her undercover amongst jewel thieves, that one will be airing in the US on Telefutura in January. (Again, no idea if there will be any b&g action, but it seems pretty likely.)

Looks about as exciting as the scene from "Beauty and the Beast" recently.

Reminder, this is a subject that I consider to be
non-productive.
