Well, it's totally understandable considering that the show was created by Sid and Marty Krofft. Their shows, such as HR Pufnstuf and Land of the Lost, were really only one step below Sesame Street when it came to inoffensive, totally kid-friendly TV. Looking at EW&DG, the show was so cornball and cheesy, you could show it to a four or five year old without worrying about anything inappropriate. No way were they going to show a tie-up scene, let alone the heroines getting gagged.

Caroline Ellis did have three scenes on The Bugaloos, one with a gag.

Re: Viewmaster
Plenty of shows made for kids in the 60s & 70s had scenes which is why a lot of us have our appreciation today. Tv and comics in that era was chock-full of DiD's you were exposed to scenes sooner or later, often on a weekly basis. Damn good too ;)

Most of the so called "bondage" on that show
was superimposed freeze rays and
other cheap looking special effects.

Could've sworn there was a B&G scene in Wonder Bug but that's probably scene creep

I saw this last week. There is a scene toward's the end where Collin Farrell's character has bound and taped gagged his daughter, son and wife (Nicole Kidman). I really don't want to say much more about the scene because it will spoil the movie.

That means we can at least confirm that Nicole Kidman will be tape gagged in the movie?

Just say this in order to have an idea what to expect. Overall, as a DID scene was it a good scene according to your opinion?

Doubt that anyone here cares about the movie being spoiled

It's Canadian actress Lynda Boyd. Tin Star is available on Amazon Prime. The first glimpse is at 12:35. Ms Boyd has her arms and legs significantly wrap tied to the chair and she is sporting a wraparound tape gag. It picks up again at 15:47. Gag removed at 17:55. Scene ends at 21:32. She remains alive.

I think 10 years from now there will be programs that let you download videos like this and create totally new content using computer re-gens of the characters. Essentially as if you were the writer/director of the show back in the 70's

I've actually been super looking forward to that movie, so if you post spoilers please put some kind of alert. Movie looks really great.

Re: The Killing of a Sacred Deer possibility
Wikipedia gives the entire plot of the film which, um, I kinda read so yeah no real surprises there ha ha. All I want to know is the type of tape gag. Standard one-piece or (hopefully) wraparound?

In a similar suspense/horror vein, Judy Geeson (It Happened at Nightmare Inn), Rebecca Balding (Silent Scream), and Abigail Breslin (Haunter) were unable to resist sticking their pert little noses into creepy houses and ended up nicely B&G. Doesn't make up for the thousands of great opportunities that never pan out, but it sure is nice when it happens.
And on TV, a personal favorite was the classic Superman episode where Phyllis Coates horns in on crooks conducting a sort of scavenger hunt. They see her, follow her to her apartment, kidnap her, and eventually (I remember pretty much bouncing up and down on the couch seeing it for the first time at about age ten) she is hustled, bound and gagged, first into a car and later a plane before the big spoilsport flies in to the rescue. Even now I love the buildup almost as much as the scenes. Really makes it all complete.

Re: DiD Scenes With Great Build-Up
Abigail Breslin's scene in Haunter was a classic. Delicious build-up as the ghostly little Nancy Drew discover's the killer's lair beneath the house leading to her being grabbed and gettin the treatment. And have to say she has one of the most beautiful tape gagged faces ever seen in a film. The tape really suits her, enhancing her eyes and cheeks. Absolutely gorgeous. Hope she gets more scenes in future projects

Re: DiD Scenes With Great Build-Up
Haunter was a great little thriller indeed. And Abigail's scene more than made up for her massive missed-gag opportunity in The Call. Plenty of time for her to get another scene too

We welcome these spoilers, we wouldn't see most movies or TV shows without them.
