Okay, I'm afraid I'm just going to add to your frustration because it may be impossible to track some of these shows down. Here is a list of some likely suspects followed by some less likely ones.

Kraft Suspense Theatre (1963-65, Color) a bunch of these are on YT, some have 2 episodes back to back.

T.H.E. Cat (1966-67, Color) Robert Loggia is a cat burglar turned bodyguard, some episodes on YT including 2 with database entries.

The Man Who Never Was (1966-67, Color) Robert Lansing spy show, Dana Wynter was the female lead. Episode guide says she's kidnapped and held on a boat in the episode "To Kill An Albatross".

Run For Your Life (1965-66, Color) Ben Gazzara running for his life, has one database entry.

Coronet Blue (Summer 1967, Color) Kind of an amnesiac version of The Fugitive. Just released on DVD this past July.

The Baron (1965-66, Color) On DVD for several years now, so probably not it.

Summer Playhouse (throughout the 1960s, Color/BW) Unsold Pilots.

Moment of Fear (1964-65, BW) 8 episode anthology from 1961, repeated in 64-65 season.

Mr. Broadway (1964-65, BW) Adventure starring Craig Stevens.

The Reporter (1964) Harry Guardino as a newspaper reporter, may have been repeated in the summer of 65.

N.Y.P.D. (1967-69, Color) Jack Warden cop show.

The Double Life of Henry Phyfe (1965-66, Color) Get Smart ripoff starring Red Buttons. Some episodes on YT.

Run, Buddy, Run (1967) Comedy version of The Fugitive.

Mr. Terrific (1967, Color) Superhero sitcom.

Captain Nice (1967, Color) See Mr. Terrific.

The Invaders (1967-68, Color) Sci-Fi show that had a syndicated rerun cycle as late as the mid-1980's so it's probably not it. Someone would have seen it.

Now for some long shots:

The Trials of O'Brien (1965-66, BW) Peter Falk lawyer show.

The Defenders (1961-65, BW) Long running lawyer show that ended it's run in 1965.

Cloak of Mystery (1964-65, BW) Repeats of Alcoa Theater and General Electric Theater, both shows tended to lean more towards mystery and not crime drama.

Bob Hope Presents the Chrysler Theatre (1964-65) Drama, comedy, music anthology.

I know this is a long list and some of these shows may not even exist anymore but I think it's safe to say that based on your description of the scene everyone on this board wants to find it. I'll keep digging around myself and I'd encourage others to do the same. Good luck, keep us posted as to what you've found.

The best
itle: T.J. Hooker aka TJ Hooker
Medium: TV Series
Actress: Heather Locklear

Description: Episode: "The Obsession" (5.09)

Kidnapped by bank robbers, one of them female, she is held hostage though most of the show. Handcuffed, hogtied (briefly), cleave gagged with a thin white cloth, all while wearing her police uniform. The scene, which includes close-ups, furious struggling and threats by various crooks, has just about everything.

The Halloween show from the day before yesterday was fun too, with Anna Faris mummified in paper.

It's clear what happened. They ballgagged her and were ready to film. However the script called for her to lay down on the stretcher for most of the scene, which no doubt was bloody uncomfortable for Ms Garner, due to the strap at the back of her head, so they changed to a tapegag.

For IMDb, you might want to check out the following files at the link:

"keywords.list.gz" is a 355MB (after unzipping) file that contains all of the keywords in the database. I suspect there's still plenty of undiscovered territory for us here. For instance, "bondage" appears as a keyword 6666 times, "bound-and-gagged" 2421 times, "ball-gag" 382 times, etc. This is the same information you can access from the keyword browser on the website, which is already fairly convenient, but having it in list form as well can be pretty handy.

"plot.list.gz" is a 461MB (after unzipping) file that contains all of the plot descriptions.

There's one big catch: see that "temporaryaccess" in the URL? Turns out that Amazon has finally retired this system for bulk data. To the best of my knowledge, these files haven't been updated since September and will be going away for good on November 7, so grab them while you can.

The new system requires jumping through a few more hoops to access, and at the moment, only a small subset of IMDb data is available, which does NOT include keywords or plot details. I'm hoping that the offerings will be increased in the future, but for now, it is what it is. More info in this thread:

Such a tragedy. Not only the loss of a great scene but a landmark scene for the community in terms of significance- Ballgagged A lister(and a very large ball at that!!!)
