Saturday October 21 11:05:49 2017 Sky King |
I have just seen a quick notice that DECADES - IMO the best TV channel for old, hard to find shows, is going to start showing Sky King episodes in the future. I have not seen any other details yet, but am looking forward to seeing how many will include some of the many Gloria Winders scenes. |
Saturday October 21 16:10:38 2017 question about Raffish's alerts |
hi. not sure if this is the best place to post this but I have a quick question. Raffish's alerts are wonderful (thanks raffish), but why are some of the entries in bold face & some (most) not? I at first thought it might mean "movies vs. television shows" but that wasn't right, then I thought maybe those with gags were in bold but many in bold don't have gags so that wasn't it either....can anyone tell me what the bold type means? Many thanks!!! |

Bold results are done by searching descriptions in the database, for the words "gagged" "gag" etc. It's not 100% accurate because the some descriptions will say "not gagged" or "no gags", but these are still returned in bold. As I say it's not perfect... |

There's a key at the bottom of the page that explains this, but it's easily missed, so I'm going to move it to the top from here on out: "Key: Bold titles denote scenes with gags. (This is done by scanning the DB entry for relevant phrases and is unlikely to be 100% accurate.)" For any code geeks out there, here's the regular expression that I'm currently using to try and filter out false positives: $description =~ s/ungag|sans gag|hand[ -]?gag|not? (also )?(been )?gag|engag|faux gag//gsi; After that expression runs, any entry that still has "gag" in it is presumed to be a gag scene. I've done a few spot checks and tweaked the expression accordingly. It's never going to be foolproof, but you guys are always welcome to email me when you see a false positive (or false negative). Then I can either tweak the expression further or maybe just modify the DB entry itself. |

Oh, and in case it's not clear...that expression will catch the "not gagged" and "no gags" cases mentioned above, but of course there are less common phrases to indicate the lack of a gag that haven't been handled yet. |

Saturday October 21 17:03:06 2017 General Hospital possibility next week |
There's a chance that there'll be a scene on General Hospital next week. Some foreign agents are trying to catch Jason - or his twin, or clone, or some damn stupid thing - and have decided to force him to come to them by kidnapping someone he cares about. They teased Friday it will be veteran DiD Sam, which would be fine, but since she's had other scenes I'm praying it will be Elizabeth. I'd pay real American money to see a great scene with her. Just hope they don't use one of the guy's young sons. Anyway, worth checking. |
Saturday October 21 17:15:13 2017 GH followup |
Sam is played by Kelly Monaco; Rebecca Herbst plays Elizabeth. |

Unless, the scene at the end on Friday was a tease and no one is grabbed yet. But yeah, let's hope for Rebecca Herbst to get another full treatment. Her first one was good, but obscured in darkness of two types, the scene background and a blindfold for most of it. Herbst keeps looking better with aga, and right now she looks extraordinarily beautiful and shagging for a (binding and) gagging. |

Another scene, a couple murdered by Lena Dunham's cult. Girl is tied up. Bad ending and putz. |
