The actress in question is grabbed by bad guys, bound and gagged, plunked on a rock in a sea cave, and abandoned. A giant crab the size of a Volkswagen bug comes out of the water, slooowly crawls towards her, she struggles and mewls through her gag... then the good guys show up and kill the crab with a flurry of pistol shots. (Who knew giant crabs were so easy to kill?) For me, what made the scene especially memorable (and unintentionally hilarious) was what the rescued damsel said as soon as her gag was removed: "Sorry, I guess I lost my nerve." Yes, that's right, she apologizes for screaming into her gag and tugging on her bonds as a giant crustacean tries to EAT HER ALIVE! Weak female! Anyway... does this ring bells for anybody? |

I thought it might be Corman's "Attack of the Crab Monsters" (1957), but no. Turns out you were right when it was discussed here back in 2008: it's "Port Sinister." It's in the DB, and there's a very low-quality clip of the most crabtacular part of the scene on YT. |
