That Danger Man (Secret Agent in the U.S.) episode aired on September 11, 1965 on CBS in the U.S. and on October 15, 1965 in the UK. Where are you located? Did you see "Sting In The Tail" in it's original prime time run. Or was this a syndicated repeat? If it was in prime time in the U.S. we may be able to identify the other show by looking at the network listings for that week/month. Of course eliminating UNCLE, Get Smart, I Spy, Avengers and all of the other shows that have run endlessly in syndication. Was this a spy show, cop show, western?

Sounds pretty hardcore for Sixties tv but very keen to see it based on the description :)

Transpeople
What is this site's policy on scenes involving Male to Female transgender people (actual people, not characters). Yes, they used to be male, but they identify as female.

First off - thanks a million for responding! This search has driven me crazy for years! :-)

To answer your questions --

I saw "Sting in the Tail" on either it's original broadcast in 1965 OR a syndicated repeat in 1967. I do remember it was either late summer or autumn.

I believe it was a cop show or something similar.

I have eliminated most/all of the "usual suspects ("I Spy,"Man From Uncle," "The Avengers," etc.). I'm thinking it had to be a short lived network series, an anthology ("Kraft Suspense Theater"?) or a movie of the week (but as I'm sure you know there were very few of those in the 1960's).

Absolutely! I was blown away. I see the image very clearly, even the actresses costume and I know it broadcast on the same week as "The Sting in the Tail" episode of "Secret Agent." It hooked me on hogties for life!

I saw the "Secret Agent" episode in upstate NY. I believe it could have been the original broadcast but was more likely the repeat. I remember clearly the show I'm searching for aired either the week before or the week after "The Sting in the Tail." I also believe it was either late Summer or Fall.

I believe it was a cop show or a show with a cop type premise or one that contained crime oriented episodes (Run for your Life, The Fugitive, Route 66)

I have checked ALL the usual suspects so I'm thinking this was either a short lived series, an anthology (Kraft Suspense Theater, Name of the Game) or a TV movie.

It's also possible this was a syndicated repeat of an older show. However, the hogtie was very "modern" and I'll never forget. I just can't find the show!

I do know the actress was trim, very athletic and (I believe) dressed in black.

I also have the vague memory that she might have been a reporter or the friend of the main detective.

Sheriff of Cochise aka U.S. Marshal
Love the vintage scenes were there often unbroken takes lasting one or two minutes.
