Monday October 01 01:56:57 2012 Charlie's Angels Season 2 DVD |
Picked up the Charlie's Angels Season 2 DVD set for $4 this weekend. Fun to watch these again and see how corny they actually were. I'll try to rip the Magic Fire ep scene and share if it turns out any good. |

Reading a review of this show's premiere, which I think aired last night, it said a woman was shown bound and gagged in a chair. Did that occur last night? |

They should have made a point of having weights attached to the character to get her to sink. Interesting how no one complained that the last victim scene in "Funny Games" had the same conceit, but no one complained about it -- she wasn't weighted down either. Some people do have less buoyancy than others, and plenty of people drown in the world without being bound by tape -- let alone being weighted down in addition. (millions of examples, but one real life one is Natalie Wood). |
Monday October 01 12:15:09 2012 Hawaii Five-0 Tonight |
From the preview, it looks like there will be a girl taped to a chair tonight on Hawaii Five-0. No gag in the preview. By my count, that makes 4 straight Hawaii Five-0 Episodes (going back to last season) with tape-tied scenes. |

(millions of examples, but one real life one is Natalie Wood). You missed my point. It wasn't a question of whether its possible for people to drown, its the way that this particular scene was photographed. Neither of the "Funny Games" movies showed the victim once they entered the water. They might have struggled on the surface until hypothermia took effect. In the case of Hawaii Five-O, we have a character who is an experienced surfer, who is restrained with only her wrists in front of her and her ankles tied, and the moment she hits the water she sinks like a stone. She thrashes around a bit before pretending to lose consciousness, and never once kicks to the surface. Its not that easy to sink in the ocean - which Grace alluded to in the interview. They had to call in the stunt coordinator to find a way to get her underwater, because she kept on coming back to the surface. This is the same kind of laziness that has an actress with her hands tied in front of her sitting helplessly brushing her hair out of her face or scratching her nose, but utterly incapable of pulling off her own gag. They could have added a realistic touch in many ways - knock her out, more secure restraints, weights.... Instead, they went with the kind of filming that gave us a scene that instead of bringing suspense, just reminded me of why I don't generally bother watching the show. Last point, the lazy filming ruined the scene for me. If you enjoyed it, that's fine - different tastes, and Grace did look cute sitting on the railing with the tape gag. |

The psychic was seeing the future of the female lead. I watched almost the entire episode, but the shots were real quick and I only saw the future of the gal running and an axe being swung. The scene would have occured in sometime after the 40' (with commercials). The premonition scene was so fast, any scene would have been less then 6 seconds and were greyish and somewhat blurred. |

Did someone mention that Martha Plimpton had a scene on raising hope. (It is not in the data base) if so could they give the episode and a small description |

Adventure Comics 412,435,439,450. Daredevil 205 Detective Comics 490 Iron Man 38 Lois Lane 120, 135 Spider Woman 6,8 Wonder Woman 203,207,221 Two personal favorites - Daredevil 104, with Black Widow tied on a tree limb with a great wraparound gag, and Ghostly Haunts 41, a great "prisoner of mutants in a sewer" cover. Hard to find because it was by small company Charlton. BTW, if by some chance the Con you're going to is the one in the Twin Cities, you'll want to stop at the table of artists Rich Larson and Steve Fastner. They have bondage-related art including a version of the sewer thing. Or check at Fastnerand larson.com. |
