I saw it too, and it's one of those EXTREMELY frustrating scenes, because there's every reason plot-wise that she should be gagged (in fact, in earlier versions of the script, she is gagged in that scene). The guy literally says "go ahead and scream, no one will here you" and right after that goes to deal with a cop who is snooping around only one floor up. Amusingly, she takes his advice to heart and doesn't try to alert the cop anyways. But yeah, it's one of those scenes that would've made complete sense to throw in a gag, and they blew it. |
