Sunday September 23 01:54:33 2012 From hero to damsel |
Can anyone think of any scenes where the female heroine who normally acts tough is reduced to a bound struggling, begging/crying damsel needing to be rescued when caught by the villain (as opposed to a struggling defiant damsel)?. A perfect example of this is the scene from "The Listener" where the heroine cop is caught by a serial rapist and tied to a chair while she struggles, cries, and begs to be let go. Her EMS psychic buddy has to come to her rescue to distract the villain while she escaped. |

Not everyone thinks it makes complete sense to throw in a gag. Remember - this ia a minority site. |

That scene in Prisoner Cell Block H, where the kidnapper gags the damsels just because he wants to, even though nobody can hear them anyway, is classic!! Why wouldn't you gag a damsel?? :) |

Sunday September 23 11:36:51 2012 The Avengers - Look Stop Me - Tara King |
I've recently been watching all the episodes from the Tara King season of this classic British action series and was stunned by the bondage in the installment 'Look Stop Me...' which features a group of psychotic vaudeville artists being manipulated to commit mureders. Tara, who is played by Linda Thorson as a bit of a bimbo, is captured by the troupe and tied up in an extremely kinky manner - trussed up lotus position to a chair with a massive white OTM over her mouth. Instead of displaying the cool demeanour of her predecessor Mrs Peel she squeals through her gag and helplessly writhes and moans. Her ordeal lasts over multiple scenes and boasts several superb close-ups of her beautiful gagged face. An incredible example of classic television bondage. Has anyone else seen this enjoyably disturbing scene? |

Original US airdate: Dec. 4, 1968. I'm pretty sure somebody else has managed to catch it in the past 44 years. |

I just read a blurb that an ex-con seeking revenge on Donnie Wahlberg's character kidnaps his partner, Jennifer Esposito, hopefully she receives the treatment with a gag. In her long career, I'm surprised she's never received the treatment. |

Plus it's sort of fun to listen to the snobs moan. |

She wasn't begging and crying, but it was fun to see Dana Delaney's defiant demeanor decidedly diminish (okay, alliteration ends) on "Body of Proof" last season when she turned around and saw the guy on the phone was right behind her. |

Bones Episode: Two Bodies in the Lab When evil Special Agent Jamie Kenton knocks out Bones, when she wakes up, she's being tied up, she panics. |

She had a blown chance years ago, I think on "Hack" where she played a singer kidnapped. She was held in a hotel room but never gagged. Not sure she was even tied. |

Not sure she was even tied. CBS just aired a promo. She's cuffed to a park bench outside, not gagged. Possible something happened earlier, but not expecting it. |

Normally I agree, and if a gag doesn't make sense in the context of the plot, I can't really hold it against them. But in this case, I think that even if I wasn't a gag fan, the thought would've crossed my mind. They had a cop snooping around right above her as the villain is trying to dodge his questions. His whole plan would've been blown if she had screamed (she didn't... which also made little sense given her predicament, as she also knew the cop was up there). So in this case, our interests notwithstanding, the lack of a gag constituted a plot hole IMHO. |

One of my all-timers. If you watch closely at the very end of the scene as Steed saves her, he removes her gag and says "No gag.." Classic. |

So when is this scene (and show)? Exactly in one month from today, as in Oct. 23? Reason I asked is cuz for some reason I have been thinking all day that the scene was TONITE, and wasn't able to find it anywhere all evening (and am not sure even what channel the show comes on!). So it's NEXT month? |

Also midway another random girl during a bust with hands cuffed behind her back. No gags for either three, all of them rather short. Still, good action movie. |

I think also it is a alltime classic scene--but she actually says to Steed-"its no gag"--Which let's him know that the bad guy is really meaning to cut her in half. Big Gag Fan |
