Thursday September 26 00:08:10 2019 BAD CATS |

I too recall the scene from Brent Smith's collection tape - may even still have it in one of my many boxes in the closet. Remembering his tape scenes were mostly poor visual quality, the scene was very short IIRC. Also, I have Carl McGuire's BOUND FOR HOLLYWOOD columns - in 2 of the 3 reprint volumes, Pfeiffer's scene from that show is mentioned. One of the 2 even had a photo of her. A very bad b/w still of her in while OTM gag. I suppose there is a small chance one of the Decades kinds of channels may show reruns of the series someday. |

B.A.D. CATS - Michelle Pfeiffer stars along with Jimmy Walker and Asher Brauner in an action/police drama that only ran 9 weeks." The above snippets are from an Alabama based company called THOMAS FILM CLASSICS, whom I bought a few things in the past. They do specialize in old shows & movies. But, the above seems to be JUST pilot episodes of old shows - no guarantee at all that the one we want to see is included in THE 28 UNSOLD AND RARE TV PILOTS VOL 4. |

The pilot did get an official VHS release in the mid-1980's. There's nothing in it though. I think it runs 75 minutes. I remember finding it at Hollywood Video back then. Damn near broke the sound barrier driving home to watch it. |

I missed over half of it "live" due to political nonsense interruption. Since there wasn't anything, at least I don't have to look online. 99.9% certainty that the villain will now go into the water. Favorite soap device for temporarily writing out a character that they can later bring back for continuation when other plotlines run dry. |

While I was not going to buy the 28 Pilots video, I would still purchase the complete 10 episode series run of just B.A.D. Cats if it turns up anywhere. |

Now there’s another lost treasure. The 1977 series featured a then 24 year-old, absolutely gorgeous Kim Basinger in her first starring role as Off. J. Z. Kane. I saw the original series run on ABC. In the first broadcast episode, Miss Basinger’s character was dressed in denim shorts and a red T-shirt (and obviously no bra) to serve as bait for a rapist. She is grabbed by the suspect and dragged away out of sight of her backup partner. She does indeed end up tape bound (hands behind) and tape-gagged. Unfortunately, she does not again appear on camera until just as the suspect is peeling the tape off of her mouth (what a rip-off*) in order to engage in some Villain/Damsel taunting. J. Z.’s male partner tracks them down and charges in just as the suspect is beginning the sexual assault. He flees, leaving a bound J. Z. behind for her partner to release. Then the chase is on (he on foot, she in her Volkswagen Beetle). Sadly, this took place before the advent of home VCR recorders. Still, somebody must have the scene out there somewhere on some format. Hope springs eternal. *pun intended |

Trailer for this Indie horror/comedy just dropped and there's a brief glimpse of a damsel that looks to be bound hands behind near the end. Darkly lit so hard to say if she's gagged or not. Surely hope so; damsel is gorgeous Finnish/American Sofia Happonen. Looks like a fun monster-romp |

Has anyone purchased the Blu-ray or dvd copy of the recent version of Child'sPlay? I was wondering if there was any good bonus features or deleted scenes on the disc. |

The Making of bonus feature shows a brief glimpse of how they lifted Aubrey Plaza up to make it look like she is hanged. Other than that no real new angles or extra footage. |

(sigh)...yeah same thing happened with DOOL.....I know current events are (sometimes) important, but isn't this why we have CNN, Fox News, HLN, newspapers, and the Internet???? Sheesh. At least back the day they used to just have the news stuff on a scroll-across ribbon or a little pic in the corner....grrrr! However, it looks like the General Hospital scene is over (even if Shiloh DOES get the best of Jason (not likely), I doubt Sam will end up tied up....they are on a boat out in the ocean, and SHE is the one driving it, so... And it appears like, for now, the gag scenes on DOOL may have run their course. Jennifer's still tied to the chair but the baddie has moved her to a more "secure location", and yesterday (we did get about 10 minutes not interrupted) she was seen with the gag removed & screaming her head off & the baddies comes in and gives the time-honored "scream all you want, no one's gonna find you" or something like that. |

On a yacht, and the bad guy, who ungags Michelle, is the same actor who played Elizabeth Hurley's father in the movie version of My Favourite Martian. I remember it as more of an OTM, one of those loose 70s TV gags that could easily be talked through, or nudged off by the actress. The pilot of BAD CATS used to be online and there's nothing of interest in it. To me, Michelle Pfeiffer was absolutely stunning in the early part of her career. Not that I would recommend anyone sitting through an entire episode, but she's in at least one episode of the Animal House spinoff, Delta House, and is smoking hot! |

Thursday September 26 17:17:24 2019 Re: Stumptown |
Not a bad little scene for sure. It's too bad Cobie didn't get the treatment but who knows if she may eventually get it later on. I was surprised to see her character roughed up quite a bit earlier on, so her potentially being taken hostage and getting the full treatment could well happen. |

Thursday September 26 19:02:46 2019 Re: Question - Scene you've watched the most times? |
> Which scene do you think you’ve watched the most times? ~~~~ Interesting question, which I think may have to be divided into at least two eras: A) VCR era: T.J. Hooker ("The Obsession"; 5.09). You had to store your VCR tapes, and write down the Start times and Titles of each scene. Then you'd have to load into your VCR, and Fast-forward or Rewind to the scene, watching it on a TV set. B) 21st-century era: "Web Cam Girls" (2017). And pre-VCR era, you had to catch it when it aired on TV. |

On September 26 2019 (unsigned poster) wrote: > Which scene do you think you’ve watched the most times? Well, thanks to modern technology, each of us can watch our favorite scenes as many times as we wish. If you’re curious, I’ll gladly give you my best half-dozen. 6. The Three Stooges - “Shivering Sherlocks” (1948) – Gorgeous blonde Christine McIntyre is lashed to a chair, tightly OTM gagged – and menaced by a machete-wielding hunchback. 5. The Adventures of Superman (1952) – “Superman’s Wife” (6.09) – Busty blonde Joi Lansing (undercover as Superman’s bride) has her wrists lashed to a bridge rail – and left struggling while a fuse slowly burns towards the dynamite beneath her feet. 4. Gilligan’s Island - “All About Eva” (3.14) – Tina Louise is bound to front and OTM gagged by her evil doppleganger, Eva Grubb. A scene infamous for its loose bondage. 3. Automan - “Murder MTV” (1.09) - Real life pop singer Laura Branigan is kidnapped, bound behind, ankles tied, and cleave-gagged. A simple, brief... and strangely affecting scene. 2. T. J. Hooker - “The Obsession” (5.09) – Stunningly beautiful Heather Locklear is taken hostage, handcuffed behind, and cleave-gagged for most of the episode. An episode highlighted by Miss Locklear struggling furiously in a hogtie for all of three seconds. 1. Republic of Doyle - “The Common Wealth” (4.06) – Patricia Isaac is handcuffed behind in a chair and cleave-gagged – and clad only in her matching black bra and panties. |

Before the invention of VHS, I had to stay alert to select capsule descriptions in the TV Guide, which I dutifully committed to memory, e.i. “A drab visitor to the island becomes Ginger’s glamorous lookalike”. The Eva Grubb episode. |

I bring this up every few years or so and no one has ever seen it again but BAD CATS had an episode where a young Michelle Pfeiffer was undercover in a women's prison and was tied to the bed scantily clothed with a White Tape Gag. After over 40 years of watching DIDs I believe this scene was the best women-in-prison scene ever. No one has ever found it. It was broadcast in the winter 79-80. |
