Re: Stumptown
Fingers crossed Cobie gets a good duct tape gag during the show's run. She's so long overdue for one.

Not holding my breath on that, since they're portraying her as the toughest thing on two legs. Plus, she certainly isn't looking very pretty in the promos I've seen. Personally hoping for something from Nancy Drew.

Re: Stumptown
You never know. Even tough heroines can find themselves in serious danger. Not out of the realm of possibility Cobie could get B&G.

It: Chapter 2
The likelihood of a scene for Jessica Chastain is slim to none in this, but with the liberties taken with book to movie adaptations you never know. Not sure if there's been any early screenings, but to anyone who may have caught one, anything at all DID-wise in this?

Re: Stumptown
I skimmed through the comics, assuming they adapt the stories in them and there's not much of note. Cobie's character gets knocked out a fair bit but only 'kidnapped' twice:
first being in the first issue of the 2009 run, where she's held at gunpoint and told to get in the car but the next page is her being left for dead on a beach.
second time is from issue 9 from the 2016 run, she's in a t-shirt, socks and underwear and knocked out by a stun gun and dumped into the backseat of a car over some coffee beans.
There's no tie ups, gags or anything of the sort. If they adapt any of these, lets just hope the show has some imagination and throws us a gag our way.

Re: Stumptown
Adaptations can always differ significantly from their source material and more often than not do. Here's to hoping in terms of B&G situations for the lead heroine this'll definitely be a case of that.

Forgot to mention the first issue opens up with her being locked in the boot/trunk of the car, only to to be dragged out onto the beach to be shot, as the issue is a flashback leading up to that point. Not tied up sadly.

That is the scene from the pilot. But she breaks through the backseat and attacks the two thugs and the car crashes. Unfortunately, it appears she ties and gags them after the crash. On the promo, you hear them mmmfffing in the background when she tells the cops "there's two more in the trunk." Another promo shows her with a guy she's also b&g waiting for police to arrive.

Not for Beverly, who Jessica plays, but having read the book, there is a (remote) possibility of a scene for the wife of the lead character when she goes looking for him. In the TV version, she is abducted directly by It itself, and later webbed up by the spider. However, in the book, she is kidnapped by the the deranged, It influenced abusive husband of Beverly. Unfortunately, King didn't bother to explain her state in his car boot or when brought before It, which leaves her catatonic....

It Chapter 2 follow up.
As an addendum to the last 'It' post, I need to add that in the book, it is said toward the end that Beverly's husband, who kidnaps Bill's wife earlier, kept Beverly in "emotional, sometimes physical bondage" during their relationship, so if we see any of that, take heed that the context of the scenes will be disturbing and not what we're about, imho....

Re: Stumptown
One of the tv spots they've been showing does have a tape gag scene in it. Just not for Cobie Smolders

Re: Stumptown
Having seen the TV spot it's definitely not Cobie getting gagged unfortunately, but with the show having yet to air and only a teeny bit of it glimpsed so far, who knows what the actual show might have for her.

Episode scripts leaking out early is a good indicator. Have any gotten out? Sometimes they reveal scenes.

Better Than Us
Near the end of Episode 11 there is a very nice hands behind the back wrist tie, ankles tied and white cleave gag. She wakes up face down on a bed and discovers her bondage. She is been tied up by her husband Victor. Lots of muffled ummphs and some thrashing and struggling. The character's name is Svetlana Toropova played by Irina Tarannik.

There is also a very hot robot (Arisa) played by Paulina Andreeva that is chained by the wrists in the same episode.

The series is really good and well made.
