Let's (please) change the subject: This could be promising
As noted in article on the Onion A.V. Club:

"TNT also continues its attempt to become the new CBS by launching a franchise called The TNT Tuesday Night Mystery this fall, which will consist of two-hour TV movie adaptations of true crime stories and mystery novels."

That can't be a bad thing, especially as it relates to the mystery part.

Once again (like so many times before) you have killed an interesting thread. What is the point of the Discussion Page if we can't DISCUSS what we find interesting about mainstream media bondage scenes? Our discussion was perfectly ON-TOPIC except that you personally don't want us discussing such matters. Keep in mind that after a very disappointing scene (or no scene at all when there is potential), talking about what goes on "behind the scenes" can relieve some of the anger and frustration for all of us.

To bad there isn't (ahem) another forum somewhere (cough cough) that is very lightly moderated...

Proper spelling of her last name is Headey. Now try the database. The scene you might be looking for is Tell Tale. The database describes her being gagged with a tube across her mouth. For some odd reason for me it looks like tape but I am not here to cause a dispute. Just an observation.

I wrote the original database entry for this movie. The gag does look like tape when its over her mouth, but when its pulled down at the end, it appears to roll back up into its original shape. The movie is on one of the Showtime stations on the 26th, so I added an alert for it...

Somebody with better video equipment and younger eyes can double check then, and correct the DB entry if necessary.

I believe the original post was about her scene in Terminator Sarah Conner Chronicles, a TV show not a movie.

Some people post intelligent comments (about certain topics) and do not believe in conspiracy theories, but get lumped in with reactionary irrational posts because even intelligent comments flame irrational ones. Apparently there is a gray area for some posters (not the Mod) when discussing scene quality that entices them to include the (perceived or imagined) directors motivation, so they vent this. Silly (fun) venting seems to be allowed, like "I would have done this or that if I was the director", but deeper sociological and theoretical opinions about motivation and self censorship is not allowed (it doesn't matter why). It's so not allowed this post will probably be canned, although he left yours which shows his fairness. Of course I could be totally wrong about the whole thing and probably am, right Mod?

This forum is FREE.
Everyone here benefits from this forum and pays exactly zero for it. You don't even have to register to participate. You can comment or lurk, and it's all provided for free. The Mod is paying actual money, every month, out of his own pocket for it. Yet some people feel the need to tell HIM how he should be running it.

I don't like the Mod's attitude sometimes. I don't like his decisions sometimes. So what? Tough shit for me. If I don't like it, I don't have to come here. If I want different rules, I can start my own forum.

Crazy guy that I am, I think that having access to information about a wealth of scenes from a diverse (and mostly sane) group of contributors is worth tons more than any concerns I have about how the board is moderated.

It still amazes me that some people can't get this notion through their ridiculously thick skulls.

This is true.

It's also true that this forum is often more about the moderation than it is about any actual substance.

If Brian accepts kudos, which he does and should, he can accept constructive criticism, too, which he also does.

So you believe that if there had been a scene or two earlier in the season that the ratings would have been so much higher that it would have gotten renewed? Seriously?

Most of us already know that you believe directors, producers, writers, and actresses have only one goal in life, which is to irritate you. Neither you nor any of us actually has any idea what goes on "behind the scenes," and it's therefore useless to be throwing wild theories around. You can relieve frustration by pacing around in the room and ranting out loud about the conspiracies. It'll accomplish just as much.

All My Children
It looks like the murderer Ricky storyline is wrapping up soon on "All My Children." Early spoilers for the week of May 30th say "Ricky ties up Marissa and Bianca." Marissa is played by Sarah Glendening and Bianca is played by Christina Bennett Lind. I imagine he'll be kidnapping the actual object of his obsession, Kendall (Alicia Minshew), that week as well.

Really? It's lacking in "actual substance"? With all the alerts about breaking scenes? All the HD caps and video clips provided by some great contributors? The ENORMOUS database to help you when you're looking for scenes of a particular type, or with a particular actress? You're not catching any of that?

> If Brian accepts kudos, which he does and should, he can
> accept constructive criticism, too, which he also does.

He's never asked for kudos. When on earth have you ever heard him say "You people owe me! Look at all I do for you!"? NEVER.

He doesn't solicit your appreciation, and he certainly doesn't solicit your criticism, constructive or otherwise.

I mean, seriously. Constructive criticism?

Let's say a neighbor came by every day and gave you dinner for free. For FREE. Right to your door.

Let's try a sample response: "Meatloaf again? Really? You don't have any steak? And what's with the canned peas? This would be so much better with fresh peas. Just consider it a little constructive criticism."

You're not paying for a service. You're not providing support for the service. You don't have a say in how it's run.

Then don't eat it. Go buy your own dinner.

What really happened last night was we got sucked into a thread that drifted into troll territory. When that happens, I wish we had a way to tease out the toxic parts from what would otherwise be an interesting discussion, but nothing workable comes to mind. Mr. Mod makes what some people think are Solomonic decisions (of the baby-chopping variety), but that's his job. Politics, culture-war stuff, the age thing... we all know the list. We also know some people feel compelled to whine when Mr. Mod makes a call they don't happen to like.

I've had my share of disagreements with Mr. Mod, but I know who's hosting the party and paying the bills.

If you *really* think Mr. Mod is "Old Hitler" (and you don't mean it affectionately), the solution to your problem is obvious.

I think it's to have fun with a fun hobby. When it begins to be too serious, or not fun, it's a drag and counter productive.

Tough luck. I don't find it interesting, I find it dumb
and divisive. I have explained to you many times why.

I would dispute the idea that this often the case. Most
days go by without me having to do anything controversial.

Let's not go here either. This is another of the topics
I feel to be "non-productive". I should have said
something initially, but I was somewhat "preoccupied".

There are certain topics that I, based on my experience,
feel to be non-productive. So I don't allow them.

It's as simple as that. And as always, I don't really care
who likes it or not. I can't possibly make everyone happy.
Therefore, I do what I think is best overall.

I agree--however when the impossibly gorgeous Ms Carter was finally gagged as Diana Prince, it was quite the sensational moment. Sort of fits the theme of this page for me.

Scene in super-low-budget film "S.O.L."
I haven't watched the movie yet, but I happened across the trailer for this little independent film (created and starring a comedy troupe called Adjusted Gratuity) on Funny and Die.

Part of the film's plot involves an extremely hot actress (played by Emily Wolf, who is also credited as the makeup artist) getting kidnapped. In the short trailer (which I'll link on the Video Page), she's briefly shown with one handcuffed while riding in a car, and later seated in a chair with a really thin cleave gag. Despite the pointlessly thin gag, she looks very cute, IMHO.

As you can see from the linked image (if it works), she's also tied up and sporting the cleave gag on the cover of the DVD. These guys are selling the DVD for $10 and charging $1.99 to watch the whole movie on Amazon Streaming. I might pony up for it, because the dialogue from the film actually was pretty funny, and the price is right.

Aurora
The Aurora scene with Carolina Tejeda came on tonight. It just involved a mask man breaking into her place of business and getting her to call her co-worker. The mask man pushes her into a chair and forcibly pulls her hands behind her back, ties her hands take the business proceed and leaves the office. No gag.

Re: Frustration Hall of Fame
Most frustrating scene for me? Easily goes to Summer Glau in The Cape (ep. The Lich, Part 2)

She's captured and paralyzed. The female assistant of the villain grabs a gag and says something like "Open up, Sweetie...", and the camera switches to Summer's POV as the gag is coming down toward her face. Cut to commercial.

When we come back, she's not gagged, and it's like the whole sequence never happened. MADDENING!!
