Saturday May 14 01:22:23 2011 V is officially canceled. Charlie's Angels and other picked up by ABC. |
V was officially canceled today. Charlie's Angels with Minka Kelly, Rachael Taylor and Annie Ilonzeh was officially picked up by ABC. Another show with Emily Van Camp called Revenge could have some DiD potential and another show called The River could also be a show with some DiD action. On the downside, V and Detroit 187 was canceled on today. Let's hope that the drought of DiD scenes recover next year with these shows in 2011-2012 on ABC. |

Saturday May 14 06:49:43 2011 Chuck renewed by NBC for 13 episodes |
NBC has renewed "Chuck", although only for a 13-episode run for its fifth and final season. Since "Sis" (Sarah Lancaster) was given a full debrief on the Bartowski family secret, I think it's likely she'll find herself on some spying missions, say, in a support/auxiliary role. (After all, Morgan's role used to be the team member who'd pick up the donuts and the Subway subs). |

Saturday May 14 09:07:12 2011 Four Rooms Clip |
Many sincere thanks Sam. As always, awesome work! Is it just me, or is Jennifer Beals better looking now that ever? I'm serious. She is smokin' hot sexy at 48 in "The Chicago Code" (Now cancelled). Beals is the classic example of how a Hollywood actress should age, without resorting to massive botox injections and getting hacked up by plastic surgery. |

Truly stunning woman, even in her 40s. It's for that reason I went and searched for Four Rooms (having never been too crazy about the scene because of the shitty quality clip I used to have), and lo & behold it happened to exist in HD. That feeling of suddenly having a newfound appreciation for a scene will never get old. Btw were those panties in her mouth, or a sock? Gotta love stuffing on a mainstream scene! |

There was a minor scene on the Smallville finale episode last night. Tess was strapped down to a hospital gurney wrist and ankles. She was wearing that hospital smock thingy so she was barefoot. |

Don't know if this already discussed, but "The Event" has been cancelled by NBC as well. From a DiD persepctive it's a shame and I'll miss the hot blonde girl, but I watched every episode of "V" and can't say I'm sorry to see it go. I stopped watching "Event" about four episodes in. It looks like Sarah Michelle Gellar is returning to TV in a new show called "Ringers" where she plays twin sisters both of whom are in danger. |

Agreed, although I was a massive fan of the Flashdance curls. Was that a wig? - I suspect it was a ruse so her dance double (rumoured to be a man) could wear it to look more convincing > without resorting to massive botox injections Are you sure she hasn't resorted to that? I kinda assumed that is why she is still looking so young |

Well, add the "Wonder Woman" remake to the list of cancellations/casualties. After all that controversy over costumes and casting, Wonder Woman won't even make it to air, according to Starpulse.com. According to Tracie Thoms (who would have portrayed Wonder Woman's BFF Etta), via Twitter, "I am very sad that NBC passed on Wonder Woman. But that just goes to show you: There is no such thing as a 'sure thing' in this biz." But, the article goes on to say, the pilot might be pitched to other networks, including cable channels. However, as of right now, the remake is dead. |

Saturday May 14 15:07:27 2011 WW frustration |
Maybe the move from NBC to, say, the Lifetime will end decades of frustration. if the executives at these networks would just look at the plethora of WW blogs, groups, sites that have a theme of Wonder Woman in bondage they would pick up the series provided the scripts kept our heroine in ropes and gags weekly. What better ratings could they hope for than all of us tuning in to each episode. Who would ever miss a show that featured Wonder woman bound and gagged? |

"Gwendoline!" {Gong!} "*Sweet* Gwendoline" to her most ardent worshipers. She walks the earth in many guises, teasing us in the form of Erica Durance as Lois Lane, Carrie Fischer as Leia, slave of Jabba du Hutt, etc. And when she is angry, she takes the form of the avatar "She-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Bound-&-Gagged" (Julianne Moore, Julianne Nicholson, and countless other apparently rope, cloth, and tape-proof movie/TV hotties). She's angry a lot. |

Who would ever miss a show that > featured Wonder woman bound and gagged? Respectfully, lots of people would skip that show. Series get the best ratings when they appeal to a broad expanse of people. A show that had the lead heroine bound and gagged every week would put off a large chunk of potential viewers. She Spies had tons of tie-ups and full treatment scenes for all three of its leads (plus several guest stars), so why isn't it still on the air? NBC dumped it into syndication after only four episodes, and it only lasted two seasons total. If everyone loves bound-and-gagged heroines so much, why were its ratings so bad? We are a niche interest group. Private Practice isn't going to have its characters walking around barefoot every episode to appeal to that fetish, and Glee isn't going to have cheerleaders crushing things every episode to appeal to that fetish. Yes, there is a broader group of men and women who find bondage to be a bit of a turn-on, but unlike with us, it's not to the degree that they make a point of seeking out shows with scenes. And at the risk of sounding blasphemous, I don't want the lead female tied up every week. Just IMHO, it's much sexier if she's powerful and in charge most weeks, but she occasionally gets into trouble. I love that Scully got the full treatment several times on X-Files, but she still only averaged about one scene per season. The fact that she's a capable FBI agent most weeks make the character that much hotter in the episodes where she DOES get bound and gagged. Don't many of us love it when female cops, detectives, and superheroes get the treatment for exactly that reason? |

It was time for Smallville to go, but I'm grateful for the scenes it provided and for giving me a weekly dose of Kristin Kreuk for several years. Didn't like Erika Durrance all that much at first, partly because she supplanted my fave, but grew to appreciate her. Not a bad actress either; some of the dialogue she was given was really bad, but she delivered it with such sincerity that she usually pulled it off. |

I predict a David Kelly produced action series will be too expensive for cable networks, most of which are happy running reality tv shows that cost next to nothing to produce. I listened to a half hour long review of the pilot and it sounded absolutely terrible. Good riddance. Here's hoping something else--Charlies Angels, maybe Playboy or Pan Am, or the new Sarah Michelle Gellar show--provides some scenes. And someone comes back to WW in a couple of years. |

(snipped for forum restrictions, but worth the read) Cleo! Shame on you for bringing perspective and sensibility here. We don't want reasonable arguments, we want incoherent rants! PREFERABLY IN ALL CAPS!!!!! I totally agree with you, by the way. And as an aside, I suspect the ones on this board who rail for 'bound-and-gagged heroines' in each episode are the people who are quietest about their preferences in real life. |

Is it possible that the show will be resurrected in another incarnation...featuring the adult Clark Kent as SUPERMAN? I think there is a strong probability of this. |

Saturday May 14 17:43:16 2011 Re: Smallville Finale |
It was time for Smallville to go . . . Agreed. The show was really showing its age. How old is Tom Welling at this point? 35? Season 10 was worth it though because it gave us one of the all-time great 'Good God! Is this actually happening!?' moments in mainstream DID history when Erica Durance was bound and gagged in a so-kinky-they-must-have-known-what-they-were-doing death trap. And that was after years of disappointment. |

Quoted for truth, tough powerful heroines who get tied up only when the story demands are so much more appealing than a show that has it's heroine kidnapped every week. It's worth noting of course that it is possible to have a strong independant heroine who still gets tied up on a semi-regular basis though to the best of my knowledge it's a trick that's only been successfully pulled off twice - In The Avengers and Xena: Warrior Princess |

Saturday May 14 18:48:18 2011 Just a possibility for August: Gorgeous Dilshad Vadsaria in 30 Minutes or Less in |
Slight spoiler for the movie follows. This is a comedy coming out in theaters in August. Jesse Eisenberg is forced to rob a bank by some bad guys; he recruits his buddy, played by Aziz Ansari, to help him out. Dilshad Vadsaria plays Ansari's sister and Eisenberg's love interest. In an interview, she noted that her character gets kidnapped. Here's the trimmed-down quote: "That’s what we’re going to shoot next week; she figures out something’s definitely wrong because she got kidnapped...by some guys in gorilla masks..." No idea is this turns into a scene, of course, but here's hoping. As you can see, she's a total stunner. |
