Cold Case
I recently watched an episode of Cold Case on late night television out of curiosity, and found the show to be surprisingly enjoyable. I know how much the regulars on this online forum lament its dearth of bondage scenes, and I avoided watching the show for this reason. I suppressed my inhibitions late one night, and decided to suffer through the torment of not seeing Kathryn Morris bound and gagged, and found that, despite this, I liked the show.
I don't think we'll be seeing the wholesomely beautiful Kathryn Morris bound and gagged on this show anytime soon, if ever; this is because of the TYPE of crime drama Cold Case is. On this type of show, the detectives attempt to solve the crime at a greater remove from the villains than on other crime dramas. On Cold Case, the crimes investigated are often decades old, and the villain(there usually is only one) is usually far too old and feeble to pose much of a physical threat to the detectives. Has Kathryn Morris ever been physically imperiled on this show?
I consulted the Scene Database, and found that this program has only TWO incidences of female bondage. Despite the flagrant lack of physical peril for the female lead, this show COULD have a few more female guest stars bound and gagged during scenes where crimes are reenacted.

missed opportunities
There is two better ones of Wonder Woman. Both happened in the 2nd season.
One, a Chinese spy couple is looking for a special laser. Diana Prince and the chinese woman fight Diana wins but the womans partner has the gun. He tells her to tie up Diana, which she does on screen, I always thought a gag would have been good to.
Second, Diana is looking for the missing Steve Trevor, she is chased by a group of thugs, she is able to change in her wonder woman charecter, she puts the lasso of truth on one of the thugs, he tells her that they were to kidnap Diana bind and gag her and leave her at a designated place.
I always though they should have let wonder woman to tell the thugs to go ahead with thier plans so as to have Diana infiltrate the secret underworld
PS Does anyone wonder if they had gone with one more year with wonder Woman that Lynda Carter would have been bound and GAGGED in her wonder woman costume.
What about other shows that Ended just before something might have popped

comic strips
Are there any good strips with possibilities?

I STILL miss Brenda Starr. Every Sunday morning I would take the comics section up to my breakfast nook with a slice of tangerine in the hopes a scene would unfold in full color.

I remember this happening only a couple of times with Brenda and maybe once each with Dick Tracy and Spider-Man. But every week I would dream about it.

Crusade, I know what you mean, though I usually would prefer a hot breakfast, such as oatmeal or farina. The strips *USED* to be a great source of scenes, especially Winnie Winkle, Brenda Starr, Friday Foster and the various superhero strips (there was a great scene in the Hulk strip years ago) that would once in a while pop up. Blame the internet for much of that disappearing.

I missed that one. Do you have it?

Sometimes I'd grill up some turkey bacon if I wanted a hot breakfast with the strips.

Yes are absolutely right. CBS made sure of that by canceling Cold Case at the end of the 2010 season. You probably caught the episode on syndication. We can always hope for Kathryn Morris in future projects....fingers crossed.

Thank you for your complimentary post, Nite Owl! I'm sorry to hear the show has been cancelled. Do you agree with my reasoning about why bondage for Kathryn Morris was nonexistent on the show?

There's always a chance with the Sunday "Prince Valiant" strip, since it's an adventure strip and involves knights doing chivalrous things. That said, they recently had a great opportunity when Valiant's wife and two of her handmaidens were kidnapped and got - nothing. I'm not even sure there was a handgag in the sequence. And it ended with Aleta (Val's wife) killing the instigator before he even got there. Another villain learns a simple lesson much too late. Still, chances will always be there in this strip, and it's the best now that it has ever been since Hal Foster was doing it. One of the few readable comic strips which I see these days.

No, unfortunately, I don't...it came out in a trade paperback as sort of a compilation of Hulk newspaper strips, but this was a long while back, probably when the original live action series was on the air. It was a great scene...very cute waitress b&g, saved by you-know-who after a while.

Re: Missed Opportunities
Title: Anna Lee
Medium: TV Series
Actress: Imogen Stubbs, Sonia Graham

Description: Episode: "Diversion"

Mature but attractive, prim and over-officious, secretary Beryl (Sonia Graham) gets kidnapped. Something to do with forcing the owner of a shop next to a Bank to close so robbers can use it to break through the wall into the Bank. To cover the noise they issue a bomb threat to the route of the Carnival causing it to be diverted past the Bank ("Diversion").

Beryl is chloroformed outside her house at 44 minutes then is seen at 1 hour sitting in the basement of a disused building with one wrist handcuffed to a substantial metal mesh partition. She disdains the breakfast that is provided and sends her captor to get free-range eggs and wholemeal bread.

At 1 hour 15 minutes feisty former Police Officer Anna Lee (Imogen Stubbs) finds her, but the main villain returns and she ends up sitting with one wrist handcuffed to Beryl through the screen. Seen again at 1 hour 23 minutes. The following day (1 hour 32 minutes) when Anna says she is wishing there was something to pick the lock, Beryl reluctantly admits that she wears a hairpiece and, after Anna promises never to tell anyone, she passes her a pin. Anna then uses it to open the handcuffs. Approximate times in a 1 hour 50 minute broadcast slot with adverts.

No gags - additional deficiencies: a) no one outside the building can hear them, in spite of the fact that they can hear what's going outside; b) only after being cuffed for twelve hours or so does Anna ask Beryl for a pin and then, immediately picks the lock; c) the book that the episode is based on has a double B&G scene for the hostages and we get one hand cuffed each! Chloroform fans should be less disappointed.

Another one will likely be Scream 4 (Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, Emma Roberts, Hayden Panettiere, Alison Brie, Anna Paquin, Kristen Bell...)

90210 liars
I thought this scene was stiff and kind of dull. However, I did like the fact that the villian used the girls cellphone text to trick her friend into coming over. This may be a first. It is only a matter of time before a someone texts a damsel and the bad guy intercepts it and texts back something like 'sorry I can't hang out tonight. I'm a little tied up.'

Pancakes and sausage for me.
I know it will never happen but I'd love to see Blondie and Herb's wife get the treament.
And I'd love to see the mom in Family Circus get tied up and gagged.
And if Dennis is such a menace why hasn't he tied up one of his many babysitters yet.
The was one so-so bondage scene in HI AND LOIS. In the first panel we see Lois' friend on the phone talking to her. The friend says into the phone, 'Oh, I'm sorry I've talked so long, Lois. I've kept you tied up all afternoon."
Then in the next panel we see Lois holding her baby, Trixi who has wrapped the phone cord all around Lois. Lois then says, "No, actually it was Trixi that tied me up!"
Lois isn't hot as Blondie, imho, but it was great to see her wrapped up in the phone cord. And just as much as I love to see a tightly bound and gagged damsel, I also love it when the damsel makes the "all tied up" pun.

Chase
Part 2 of the Kelli Giddish scene picks up with a recap of the kidnapping from Part 1 - too thin gag applied, hooded, thrown into a van....
She struggles while in the van, which leads to her being chlorophormed thru her hood. Carried to another car so that she can be smuggled into Mexico, she manages to kick one of her captors in the face, but still gets thrown in the back of the car. Arriving at a ranch in Mexico, the hood is removed, revealing a reasonably sized duct tape gag. She is forced into what appears to be a stable, where her captors warn each other about how dangerous she is, free her hands, and push her into a stall, and lock the door. She removes her gag, and promptly escapes. All of the DID action is finished by 10 minutes into the episode.
