That got me to thinking about "Along Came Jones". The only other instance that I'm aware of where the song was acted out with a bound damsel was Irlene Mandrell in the "Barbara Mandrell & The Mandrell Sisters" show. I think it was Ben Vereen singing with the Krofft Puppets. Been along time since I've seen it.

The question is were there other times the song was performed and acted out? It seems a perfect fit for variety shows like Donny & Marie. It charted twice, for the Coasters in '59 and for Ray Stevens in '69. Found a clip of the Coasters doing it on "Shindig" but instead of live actors they use crude cartoons keyed over the singers.

I second that! I think there was a glimpsa of her bound and gagged during the opening of each episode! Does anyone have the full scene(s)or know the name(s) of the episode(s) with scenes?

I think in the database it says she was cleave-gagged with blue bandana.

Love to see it.

Re: Speculate all you want....
It seems Heather locklear got most of her B and G scenes in the final season when it moved to CBS late night. Just a thought. The best one is on Friday on NBC U.

hawaii 5-0 has been a huge disssapointment in the front but the new angels should give us at least a scene or two a year.

I can easily see this show being a bust though as I'm not high on the one who was cast.

WORST Continuity Mistake In A Scene?
Last night's "Primeval" on ITV had a pretty good setting, damsel bound and gagged and placed in a crypt. No problems there but... when she was released she was shown putting her arms around the rescuers body to help her get carried out.
And then she was placed on the ground and had har hands untied... which were shown behind her back! I checked the credits and "Shiva" wasn't listed so...

What's the worst continuity mistake you've seen in a scene? Not so much gags changing colour but three strands of rope around body, then one, then three again, hands untied, hands tied etc.

Even the amateur stuff on You Tube didn't make the mistake an established channel like ITV made last night?

"Days of Our Lives" with Hope B&G in the chair. She tips it over to try and work a knife on her ropes. One shot, she looks back and is gagged, next shot not gagged, next shot gagged, all the while still tied up.

Re: WORST Continuity Mistake In A Scene?
Similar to "Days of Our Lives" the movie "Mother's Day" had a gag that disappears in the side shot then reappears.

Well let's remember too that there's always a good chance that they look into (a) kidnapping(s). So even if one isn't too keen on the women who are the detectives, there's a possibility that one or more hot guest stars might get the treatment - as in "Marathon Angels."

No TV has ever been a B&G fest. I imagine most of us will be happy with a scene or two a season. The nature of this hobby is to live in hope.

Also, while Alias unfortunately rarely if ever delivered, the whole female spy/agent angle always has the opportunity for uniform and identity thefts that end in bondage. Ya know, the girls need to infiltrate some place, so they tie up a woman and steal her uniform or something like that.

Again, slim, but the premise has opporunities.

Sha Na Na did a skit of it on their show. It was posted on the video page a few months back.
Also, sexy soap actress Gloria Loring sang a song called, "Don't Tie Me Down" on the Red Skelton Show while being tied to buzz saws and the like.
Cher was tied up once on the Sonny and Cher show, but dressed as an unattractive woman instead of one of her skimpy Bob Mackie outfits.
And Donny and Marie did a few skits under the title of "The Perils of Marie". And as hot as Marie is now, I wished they'd bring that show back and do some more of those skits!
Ray Steven's also had a musical variety show and I think there was a skit where a cowgirl is tied to a totum pole by some injuns. But I haven't seen that since I was 4 so memory of it is hazy.

I was wondering if anyone else had spotted that, Bit of shoddy directing if you ask me, the camera should have been tighter on the mans shoulders as he lifted her out and her arms should have been lower on his back, out of shot.

As for other bloopers the one i always remember is from the Knight Rider Episode 'Give me Liberty...' When Robin Dearden's captors take her out of the van and secure her to a rock by the side of the road one of them puts a crash helmet on her, covering the ends of the tape across her lips but in later scenes you can see where the tape has been removed and reapplied between takes as the end is sticking up over the helmet

There must be hundreds of these, but off the top of my head it's the back of the van, "Marathon Angels" scene where the gag is otm, cleave, otm, cleave,....
It's best to suspend disbelief when watching some of this stuff.

Re: WORST Continuity Mistake In A Scene?
Not sure if it counts as a continuity error but Barbara Eden in The Amazing Dobermans (1976) was kidnapped and tape-gagged on screen, and in the next scene, she's tied to a chair and cleave gagged.

Obviously tape came off and kidnappers had to try again.
I think the best/worst are when the damsel's entire outfit changes, like in the "Liberty or Death" episode in 1st season Knight Rider.
