I'd forgotten why I don't watch soaps. Eight simultaneous subplots of beautiful people making inexplicably stupid decisions and taking forever to do it. Or, in the case of the CW, eight simultaneous subplots of beautiful YOUNG people making inexplicably stupid decisions and taking forever to do it. Oh look... bondage! Surfing, boyfriends, gay conflict, vapid celebrity airhead on tv... Cleave gag! More surfing, more gay conflict, visiting airhead realtive from Kansas, yet more surfing... AAAARGHH!! IT'S NOT WORTH IT!! |

(unsigned poster) wrote: > Which missed opportunity for bondage in a movie or show > bothers you the most? The Phantom: The Phantom asks Christie Swanson to tie up CATHERINE ZETA JONES and she just knocks her out instead! Freaky Friday: Lindsay Lohan receives a pretty firm hand gag by two girls who want her to play with their band or something and she keeps refusing, at which point one pulls out a roll of duct tape, holds it in front of her and says something along the lines of "i didn't want it to come to this", Lindsay has a great surprised/horrified look going on and then... well that's where the scene ends! What's worse, is that it's implied that they actually DID tape her up when they return! National Treasure: Nicolas Cage and his partner have sort of kidnapped Diane Kruger and at one point they have to leave the van they're in to visit Cage's father if i'm not mistaken. Diane who stills think that they're common thieves, is still threatening to tell the cops, keeps warning them that they won't get away with it etc, so Cage asks his partner what they should with her and the partner says "well, i have an idea" and holds up a roll of duct tape! Cage dismisses the idea immediately and they opt to take her with them instead! |

Yes, this was well covered here at the time but some of you may not have been here then. In the video to the song "Wild Wild West" Salma was supposed to be bound and gagged. Articles written about it said that the crew was oogling the storyboard pictures that had been drawn of her bound and gagged. Then the producers informed Salma they were going to put spiders on her as well. She told them that she would do either the bondage or the spiders but not both. When left with the choice the producers decided to do the spiders. Making the guys who have spider fetishes very happy, I guess. |

This is perplexing, isn't it? Why gag a damsel with a cloth tied between her teeth if you have duct tape available? Wouldn't it be easier to simply apply a few strips over her mouth rather than expend the effort necessary to tie a knot? |

Tuesday January 25 04:04:07 2011 Jessica Alba - Machete |
Apparently Jessica Alba is up for a Razzie for her performance in Machete - but the nice promo shot in the related news article makes a lame movie worth a look ! (unsigned poster) wrote: > Which missed opportunity for bondage in a movie or show > bothers you the most? A few from wrestling 1. Kane's obsession with Kelly Kelly, they even had him "kidnap" her one time. But he was talking to her while she remained unbound. 2. During an episode of TNA Impact, Steven Richards interrupted a promo by Abyss and he had the ultra-hot Lauren as a hostage. The following week she was on the show like nothing had happened, and we never saw her tied up. 3. Randy Orton threatens to do something terrible to Triple H and his family, and it consists of him handcuffing Triple H to the ropes and DDTing Stephanie McMahon. He had already broken out the handcuffs, why not break out another pair and abduct Stephanie. |

I'll take a reasonably tight cleave gag over some hinky-dink, barely-stuck-on piece of duct tape any day of the week. Now, a tight, wraparoud tape gag, like in FUNNY GAMES (2007) and maybe add some packing... then we might have some common ground. |

In the video to the song "Wild Wild West" Salma was supposed to be bound and gagged. Salma was bound in the video story although its hard to see any restraints and she was certainly not gagged. The spiders were certainly real. See her interview some stills and the video (not great resoloution) on my page:-
|

If you go in accepting that (a) Robert Rodriguez's films are always full of mountain-sided plot holes and goofy continuity errors, and (b) Danny Trejo can't act and is old enough to get Social Security, MACHETE isn't bad at all. Lots of action, and major hotties. Jessica Alba looks awesome as always and Michelle Rodriguez looks as sexy as a babe with an eye patch can be. Wish she's get gagged soon... woof! Lindsay Lohan, OTOH, pretty much looks like the uber-skank she's become. Hard to believe she's the yummy babe that rocked MEAN GIRLS back in 2004. |

Before Alyson Hannigan finally got the full treatment on Buffy in Season 7, there was the episode the year before where two geeks kidnap her and all we see before the fade out was duct tape coming toward's Alyson's mouth. Next scene, she's in a arcade unbound and ungagged. |

I really liked it. Even though they skimped on the gag time, they at least went to town on the bonds. Plus, it's not THAT often an A-lister(?) like McCord gets to chew the cloth. I'll gladly take that to start the year. |

I'll gladly take that to start the year. An okay scene. And yes, it seemed to be a really tight gag (just wish it had stayed on longer). Interesting that Silver walks in from the outside so he obviously had shoes on & once she is grabbed & tied to the chair, we see she is barefoot. So the kidnapped apparently wanted her barefoot as well. He was into bare feet I guess (and nothing wrong with THAT!). I just thought that was an interesting touch, as why he'd take her shoes & socks off before he tied her up. McCord was already barefoot but Jessica Stroup was not. |

(unsigned poster) wrote: > Which missed opportunity for bondage in a movie or show > bothers you the most? Wow, we could all write a very thick book on this I think. Since it was on tv recently I'm going first with Cheryl Ladd in "Lisa." One of my favorite actresses in a tailor-made situation (Psycho invades home of single mom and daughter) and all that came out of it was a handgag, which just doesn't do much for me unless it's followed by bonds. Once again the home crowd goes home disappointed... |
Tuesday January 25 16:16:10 2011 Re: Missed Opportunities |
Without a doubt my #1 missed opportunity was "the siege" in Brookside, which aired sometime in 2002. There were a total of six or seven good-looking females held hostage in 3 different houses by a bunch of raging psychos, but none of them were even close to being tied up. WTF?! I don't usually go all melodramatic when it comes to DiD scenes that never were, but that truly was an absolute travesty of the highest order back then. |

Sam wrote: > all melodramatic when it comes to DiD > scenes that never were, but that truly was an absolute > travesty of the highest order back then. There was an episode of "It Takes a Thief" with Susan Saint James as recurring guest Charlene "Charlie" Brown. In one episode, she has a lookalike (also played by Susan). I only caught this toward the end, but a fight ensues and the double is KO'd along with a guy. So Susan and Robert Wagner devise their plan and Susan says "OK, I'll tie these two up and gag them." Next scene, we only see the guy in the bathtub struggling B&G, but they showed legs of the Susan lookalike but never anything else. Obviously they didn't have time to B&G Susan for a 5-second shot but it would have been nice. |

> > > Which missed opportunity for bondage in a movie > or > > show > > > bothers you the most? A scene that was good but could have been an absolute classic is Charisma Carpenter in the "Some Assembly Required" epidsode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. She gets a great mpphing handgag and is later shown tied down to a gurney and blindfolded while wearing her cute sexy cheerleader uniform...man her legs looked so good! Anyways, she keeps promising that she won't scream if they take off her blindfold. When the kidnappers do take her blindfold, she screams HEEEELLPP!!! But she is never gagged. Man, it's a good scene but damnit we could have had Charisma Carpenter aka Cordy bound and gagged in a nice cheerleadering outfit. |

The most glaring omission came in the episode when the parents believed Buffy, Willow, and Amy were witches. They were tied to stakes but not gagged. That made no sense. |

WTF?! There's a Wonder Woman episode about an artist who creates statues that are actually real people frozen indefinitely. He gets Wonder Woman in a position where she must comply with him or her friend will be killed. So she will be frozen as a statue. He orders her to put her hands on her hips and smile. Instead,he should have had his assistant tie her up with her lasso, and he could have said something like 'I want this statue to show the damsel in distress...' |

Title: One Life To Live Medium: Soap Opera Actress: Holly Gagnier Description: It wasn't that great of a scene. The bad guy breaks into her place, and ties her hands with a long piece of cloth. She is giving him an earful, until he lets slip that he intends to do her in so she can't hinder his escape. Then she begs him to leave her tied and gagged, but then somebody else shows up and spoils the party before it can get really interesting. |

He exact line was "just leave me here, tie me up, gag me." |

CBC sitcom Insecurity just aired and had a quick scene. Actress, Grace Lynn Kung is seen sitting on the floor gagged and feet tied, hands presumably tied as well. Any west coast time zone Canadian viewers might still be able to catch it. Ahh...putz alert. |
