In addition to those already mentioned: Title: Play Misty for Me (1971) Damsel: Donna Mills Tobie (Donna Mills) is the girlfriend of disk jockey Dave (Clint Eastwood), who is being stalked by obsessed fan Evelyn (Jessica Walter). Toward the end of the movie, Tobie is captured by Evelyn. We don’t see the bindings on her hands or feet, but we get some nice head shots of Tobie’s gagged face, wrapped around with white tape. Title: Batman Forever (1995) Damsel: Nicole Kidman Dr. Chase Meridian (Nicole Kidman) is captured by the Riddler. She is seen standing in a clear tube, ankles cuffed and hands cuffed to front. She is gagged with a strip of silver mylar tape wrapped tightly around her head. Robin, the Boy Wonder is in the same predicament, but who cares? Title: Sweet Valley High Episode: "Kidnapped", Parts 2 & 3 (1.20 & 1.21) Damsels: Brittany Daniel and Cynthia Daniel Real-life twins Brittany and Cynthia Daniel portray twin teens Jessica and Elizabeth Wakefield, respectively. In the first episode, one of the twins is kidnapped and bound (ankles together, hands behind) and gagged with a duct tape wraparound. In the next episode, the kidnapper has to kidnap the other twin because he mistook the first for her. The second twin ends up tied exactly like her sister. Well, if some mistake results in two beautiful girls being tied and gagged instead of one, I can overlook it. Title: Blind Witness (1989) Damsel: Victoria Principal TV-Movie with blind woman Maggie Kemlich (Victoria Principal) tied up during a home invasion. They first gag her with brown packing tape wrapped tightly (and I mean TIGHTLY) around her mouth. Her hands are then tied behind with rope, followed by another tape wraparound pinning her arms to her sides. All done onscreen. Title: Darkman (1990) Damsel: Frances McDormand Julie Hastings (Frances McDormand) is abducted by the bad guys. Her wrists are handcuffed to front, and she is gagged with a white cloth OTM served over with a single wraparound of fabric tape. Title: Leatherface: Texas Chainsaw Massacre III (1990) Damsel: Kate Hodge Michelle (Kate Hodge) is captured by Leatherface and his demented family. She is brought to their kitchen, where she is secured to a chair by means of spikes driven through her hands and into the armrests (what, they couldn’t find any rope?). A large cloth is then stuffed into her mouth. The mouth packing is so huge, she can’t close her mouth. So, the black gaffer tape is wrapped around tightly between her teeth to complete the gag. All done onscreen. Title: Excess Baggage (1997) Damsel: Alicia Silverstone Emily (Alicia Silverstone) decides to fake her own kidnapping. In the first three minutes, she tapes her ankles together by means of clear packing tape. She then applies a wraparound tape gag to herself in a unique way. She holds her mouth open and wraps the clear packing tape around her head three times, pulling the tape tightly between her teeth, cleave-gag style. After that, she cuffs her hands to front, then hides in the trunk of her car. Things get slightly complicated when an auto thief steals her car, and drives off with Emily still in the trunk. Title: What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? (1991) Damsel: Vanessa Redgrave In this remake of the 1962 classic, real life sisters Lynn and Vanessa Redgrave play Jane and Blanche Hudson, respectively. At one point, Vanessa has her hands duct taped together around the overhead assist bar, She is then gagged with the same duct tape. Several windings of tape are wrapped around her head and mouth in the usual manner. Then, for good measure, several more layers are added, wound vertically under her jaw and over her head. Title: Glory Days (2002) Episode: "There Goes The Neighborhood" (1.7) Damsel: Emily VanCamp Sam Dolan (series regular Emily VanCamp) is captured, tied hands behind, gagged with a triple brown tape wraparound, and carried in the arms of her captor to a waiting truck. As a bonus, a frontal shot of her gagged face is shown in the opening credits of each episode! That’s one way to maintain audience interest. Title: A Clockwork Orange (1971) Damsel: Adrienne Corri Saved the classic for last. The home of Mrs. Alexander (Adrienne Corri) and her husband is invaded by Alex (Malcolm McDowell) and his three droogs. Mrs. Alexander has her hands tied behind her back and is then carried inside over the shoulder of Dim (a droog). Alex shoves a huge rubber ball into her mouth, and then keeps it in place by means of several windings of clear cellophane tape (her gagging is done onscreen). Beaten-up hubby gets the same gag treatment. She is then set down on her feet and held upright while Alex scissors off her clothing (starting with her breasts). All the while, we get several head shots of her wraparound-gagged face. |

My personal fave of all time: Title: Wildside Medium: TV Series Actress: Rachael Blake Description: Episode: 2.04 In an episode of this Australian TV series, social worker Maxine (series regular Blake) is bound hand and foot to a chair and tape gagged (wrapped several times around her head) by the bad guy. He has used seemingly the whole roll of duct tape to secure her body to the chair and in a lengthy scene tells his life story to his captive audience. Record number: 13101 Title: A Escrava Isaura (2004) aka La Esclava Isaura aka The Slave Isaura Medium: Soap Opera Actress: Bianca Rinaldi Description: Episode: 1.46-1.48 This very successful Brazilian soap opera delivers several scenes involving the bella Bianca Rinaldi playing the role of Isaura. This is a 2004 remake of the original soap opera dated 1976 with Lucelia Santos (see Brian’s record 2818) Chapter 46 and 47: Leoncio, her master, has a crunch on Isaura but she would not yield to his advances and promises to marry her and make her the “señora” of his hacienda. He decides to punish her to convince her to accept his offer. Isaura’s ankles are placed in a wood log serving as a pillory. Her wrists are in front, secured by iron manacles resting on top of the log. Leoncio asks her once more to comply but when she refuses he orders his minions to place an iron gag. This is a harness gag attached to an iron collar which is locked with a very large and seemingly heavy padlock. There are several close ups of her lovely face framed in this manner with her pleading eyes denoting her misery. Later that night an old friendly peasant sneaks in to give her water and milk. He pours the fluids over and around her gag. Presumably Isaura gets to seep some of it between the crevice of the gag and her face. Although the scene is dark it allows us to glance again at the very unique gag (for a day time mainstream show). The following day Isaura is seen very briefly kneeling inside her master’s hacienda and having her collar removed/ Chapters 47 and 48: Having failed to convince her Leoncio announces that she will be flogged. Isaura is taken outside and bound facing a post with her arms just above her head held by iron manacles in her wrists. There are several lengthy sequences of Leoncio taking to Isaura and threatening very painful lashing if she does not yield to his desires. That night he is ready to strike but can not do it himself and asks his foreman to do it. Ultimately, Isaura never gets to feel the whip because there is a revolt in the hacienda. She is rescued and flees from her master. |

| Returns tonight on ABC. Barring the pilot episode which had a full scene for a supporting actress the show hasn't produced anything bondage-wise but anything can happen in the newer episodes about to air. Really pulling for Cobie Smulders to get something sooner or later. |
