| Entry Deleted: Record number: 11856 Title: Sky King Medium: TV Series Actress: Gloria Winters Description: Episode: Speak No Evil 1.12 A doctor(played by Raymond Greenleaf) hears a feverish patient (Ross Elliot) admit to being an escaped fugitive from prison. After asking Sky for information on the prison break, the doctor goes to the newspaper office in a nearby town to do more reasearch. Sky instructs Penny (Gloria Winters) to do the same, only to have both of them captured at the newspaper. They are moved to the office of the prison break mastermind and held there. Both Winters and Greenleaf are seated on a sofa, hands crossed and bound in front and ankles tied. Though there is much cutting back and forth between the prisoners and Sky and Clipper's rescue efforts, the scene is pretty static. Probably the weakest of all Miss Winters' scenes in the series. |

And, let me repeat what I wrote yesterday: there is nothing wrong with the description- technically. It's just after all that handcuff-legiron-handcuff description it's disappointing that you do not see any restraints at all, except Jack's-they don't count, do they?- OR Sydney's, but not even in slow motion, you have to look at stills, and can then- barely-see cuffs and legirons in just a few frames if you look hard enough. Irina's restraints can't be seen at all. But you can HEAR when both women are released. I did not mean to cause a lot of fuzz; just thought the above should be in the description somehow. |

I just checked again and didn't find the Designing Woman (1.6) or Speak No Evil (1.12) Episodes listed nor did I when I started this little project. Believe my, I tried to avoid wasting your time with duplicate entries. All the other Sky King entries were 100% accurate and entertainingly described. |

Scenes occur between 25 minutes and 38 minutes of a 45 minute broadcast slot with adverts. |

The designing woman in question is Miss Greene, a blond vamp masquerading as the heir to a local ranch. Penny is caught while doing some detective work by Greene and fellow villain Robert Shayne and hustled into a back room and tied (but not shown). Later Miss Greene apparently falls for Sky and turns on Shayne, telling him to bring Penny out. Miss Winters appears with a cloth strip dangling from one wrist and answers Sky's "Are you all right?" with "That gag sure didn't do my mouth any good!" When Sky tells them that they're all going to see the Sheriff, Miss Greene switches sides again. A hand-to-hand fight ensues, and while Kirby Grant bests Shayne, Miss Winters twists both of Greene's arms behind her in a double hammerlock. When deputies take the prisoners out we see a few seconds of Miss Greene's wrists bound behind her with the same type cloth strips used on Winters. A short scene, and a curious missed opportunity. ================================================ They're not failing my Search Tests so they should come up for you. Try them again and let me know |
