Record number: 6829 Title: Buffy the Vampire Slayer Medium: TV Series Actress: Alyson Hannigan, Michelle Trachtenberg Description: Episode: "Normal Again" (6.17) Rough sketch of the show: Buffy is attacked by a demon which makes here hallucinate that she is actually in an insane asylum, not the 'slayer.' Alright, the good stuff: As part of her delusional 'treatment' Buffy is directed to end her fantasy by destroying the objects of her fantasy. This is accomplished by allowing a demon (which is conveniently located in the basement) to kill her sister and friends. We start roughly at the 30' mark when we find Willow (Hannigan) bound and tape gagged. A couple of good close-ups and some decent mmmphing. After the break, Buffy fights Dawn (Trachtenberg) to submission. The scene then cuts to the basement where Buffy tape gags Dawn on screen. Not as many close ups this time, but the mmmphing is better. Both are shown bound and gagged on the floor for a couple of minutes and are rescued by Tara (Amber Benson of 'The Crush' fame.) Guy alert. |

Record number: 1433 Title: With Murder In Mind (1992) aka With Savage Intent Medium: TV Movie Actress: Elizabeth Montgomery, Mary Ann Hagan Description: In a dramatization of a true story, a drug dealer (IIRC) posing as a prospective property buyer ties up both women, cuffing their hands behind their backs, binding their ankles with white rope, and gagging both of them with stiff white napkins (Continuity problems give us a 2-for-1 cleave and overgag sequence). You don't see any tying on screen, but you do see Hagan's gag being tied tightly. Both women struggle quite a bit on the kitchen floor. This sequence occurs early on (it may begin in the first fifteen minutes). Warning: Montgomery's character is shot during the sequence. Although she survives, she rather painfully makes her way afterwards to a telephone while still bound to try and call for help. This may bother some viewers. |

No gags. @1:30pm CHCH Record number: 7811 Title: Lone Ranger, The Medium: TV Series Actress: Mira McKinney Description: Episode: "The Man with Two Faces" (1.24) Towards the end of the episode, the Lone Ranger, Tonto and two townsmen steal up on a carnival magician's tent to arrest him, his wife and his bank robbing confederate. When the wife (McKinney) emerges from the tent, one of the townsmen (Steven Clark) slips up behind her, clamps one hand over her mouth, twists one of her arms sharply behind her back, and at the Ranger's urging, drags her off to the Sheriff, still handgagged and struggling. @8:00pm TFC Record number: 6207 Title: Honey, I Shrunk the Kids Medium: TV Series Actress: Barbara Alyn Woods Description: Episode: "Honey, I'm King of the Rocket Guys" (2.12) Diane Szalinski (Woods) and Mr. Jennings (Bruce Jarchow) get captured. They are seated on chairs, their hands tied behind their backs with rope. There's a closeup of Ms Woods' tied hands. Her legs are free, and she is not tied TO the chair, because after the baddies are knocked out / arrested she rises by herself, walks over to the husband (Peter Scolari) and turns around so he can untie her. No gags. She wears a pink shirt and black pants. Dialogue: Mr Jennings, trying to keep the conversation going: "So, is this your first time as a hostage?" (She ignores the remark) |

Record number: 5992 Title: Mindstorm (2001) Medium: Movie Actress: Emmanuelle Vaugier Description: In the last half hour, beautiful psychic (Vaugier) tries to warn of a trap, and is handgagged. 5 minutes later she is tied to a bed (hands together to the bedpost). A female cult member guarding her comments that the knot is a "bowline". Three great closeups of her bound hands as she struggles to free herself, which she eventually does. In the last 10 minutes, she's arrested and is sitting at a table with her hands cuffed in front. No gag in either scene. |
