Record number: 1228 Title: King Solomon's Mines (1985) Medium: Movie Actress: Sharon Stone Description: As the client/love interest of Allan Quartermain (Richard Chamberlain) in this remake, Stone is kidnapped early in the film while she and her guide walk through a crowded bazaar. She's grabbed by a native who hand-gags her, and ends up being carried off rolled up in a rug (the rolling-up isn't shown), escaping when she falls over a ledge when the rug is unrolled. Towards the end of the movie, she's abducted again by natives who want to sacrifice her by dropping her into a pit of molten lava. She's restrained by two long sticks with hooped ends, wielded by natives on either side of her, as a glowing "crown" apparently made of red-hot rock tries to lower itself onto her. Incidentally, neither the 1937 nor 1950 film versions of this story contain any bondage or bondagelike scenes. |

Record number: 1103 Title: Earth Girls Are Easy (1989) Medium: Movie Actress: Diane Stilwell Description: At the hospital, Geena Davis' character needs to borrow a nurse's uniform so she can sneak in to the operating room where her two-timing hubby is about to perform surgery. She threatens a bespectacled nurse (Ms. Stilwell) with a gun (really a water pistol), handgags her, and forces her into another patient's room where she is ordered to strip. A patient in the next bed is bandaged from head to toe and is unable (more like unwilling) to heed the nurse's plea for help. We next see Ms. Davis applying a small strip of semi-transparent tape over the nurse's mouth, her lips visible through the gag. You don't actually see her being tied up but is implied because her hands appear to be behind her back. The scene is very brief and only shows the frontal view of the nurse from her waist up while still wearing her bra. There is also a brief mmmph when the tape is applied. Don't blink or you'll miss the entire scene, which occurs in the last 30 minutes. |

The bad guy forces him to place Boyle in a closet still bound and gagged and load the furniture into a removal van. The van crashes and the good guys releases the damsel. |

This scene is repeated near the end of the movie, along with a brief sex scene at about an hour and 50 minutes in which Gyllenhaal stands with her back to a pine tree, her wrists lashed together behind it. Despite this story's obviously having been inspired by such works as Story of O, The Collector, and 9 1/2 Weeks. these are the film's only bondage scenes. |

Later, she's tied to a chair and tightly cleave-gagged with white cloth (on-screen). The damsel does a few mmphhings and tries to get rid of the cuffs and the gag.
