The evil Doctor is played by Humphrey Bogart(!) about six months before he hit it big in Petrified Forest. He was later said "It was movies like this that made me stomp into Jack Warner's office and demand raises. Now if it had been Jack Warner's blood that I'd been drinking, that might have been OK." |

Record number: 1925 Title: Bonanza Medium: TV Series Actress: Tina Louise Description: Episode: "Desperate Passage" (9.8) Ms. Louise is shown bound hand (behind) and foot, and gagged with a stick gag, lying on the ground in a tent at around the 39' mark. The scene lasts about fifteen seconds as her rescuers sneak into the tent. Caveat: Neither a PAX (in which the scene came in about 45' in) nor a TV LAND airing showed anything else. If it shows elsewhere, you might check to see if there are any other shots of her in the tent before the rescue. We all know about cuts made from original airings. |

| Title: That Darn Cat (1965) Medium: Movie Actress: Grayson Hall Description: At the very beginning of the film Grayson Hall is shown with what looks like a dish cloth tied over her mouth. Great closeups. She is then ungagged until late in the movie when she is regagged for a couple of scenes. One long range and the other medium range. Towards the end of the film the bad guys, Frank Gorshen and Neville Brand, decide to get rid of her, and tie her to a chair (wrists behind, ropes around her waist and chair), swathing her lower face with a white cloth. |

| Title: That Darn Cat (1997) Medium: Movie Actress: Christina Ricci, Rebecca Koon Description: At the start of this Disney comedy a matronly woman (Koon) is abducted but we do not see her bound until about 18 minutes in. She is sitting in a chair with her hands tied in front with thin cord (only seen later when she is released) and a number of turns of very thick rope around her torso. She is gagged with a short length of tape. She is seen again at 1 hour 6 minutes and shortly after. The cat of the title finds her and she and fastens her wristwatch as a collar on the cat to summons help. The rest of the film follows the attempts of the Police, assisted by Ricci, to follow the cat and locate her. At about 1 hour 17 minutes Ricci finds her, but is then also captured and we briefly see her similarly tied and gagged (this is a comedy so the cat also gets a gag!). Short scenes, times with adverts in a 1 hour 30 minute broadcast. |
