Record number: 1100 Title: A Prayer In The Dark Medium: TV Movie Actress: Lynda Carter, Lyndsey Connell, Teri Polo Description: Some sort of complicated deal has a bunch of terrorist holding a Quaker family hostage. For the guys that enjoy the hands-over-head stuff, Lyndsey Connell has her hands cuffed to the cross beams of a pergola throughout a good portion of the movie. Later, Teri Polo (who was originally part of the plot) joins her in similar fashion. To the good part, one the bad guy is leading Lynda around with her hands tied in front with a long piece of rope. Later, when he has to leave her for a while, her hands are tied behind her back, and the long piece of rope goes up and over a branch. She's leaning against the tree, gagged with a blue bandanna. Not a long scene, but some excellent closeups, and it's always good to see Lynda in a scene. |

Her lover pulls her panty hose off and uses it to bind her hands behind her back. She is then placed in a small elevator, where she escapes through a hatch and runs around a big mansion with her hands still tied. She eventually comes across some wire hangers in a closet, which she twists into a tool that pulls her bonds free. Although her feet are never tied, this is also a great scene for barefoot lovers. Happens in the last half. |

Kidnappers hold Maggie tied to a chair and tape gagged. She is grabbed around the 80' mark (with commercials), and then seen bound and gagged a few minutes later. About 100' in, she's again seen in the same predicament when Jackie finds and releases her. IMPORTANT NOTE: In the letterboxed version, you get to see the entire scene, in the far more common pan & scan cut, you only briefly see her b/g on screen, as she is being held in the corner of the room and is cropped out of the picture for most of the scene. (As I'm not the author of the note above, I don't know if this refers to the first, the second, or both scenes.) |
