Record number: 1710 Title: Divka na kosteti aka Saxana the witch (1972) Medium: Movie Actress: Petra Cernocka Description: A precious cultural find, this is proof they had their DinD interest behind the Iron Curtain too. It's a Czech movie and good-natured family entertainment about a cute red-haired teen witch (her name is Saxana and she's played by Cernocka) that wants to live and love like humans do. That's why she leaves Witch School, goes to "human" school instead and does her usual magic to create some mayhem. In fact it's a bit like the "Sabrina" series, only much older... Saxana yearns to be a good, honest girl instead of a bad witch, and she plans to sneak against two buddies who'd cheated in an examen, and she's in for a treat when her two class mates find out about her scheme. They prey upon her in her little apartment, where they lock her in a closet, tie her hands in front with some rope and gag her on-screen with an OTM scarf gag. Finally left alone, Saxana grabs a broom and manages to escape through the open window (clever girl!). Still bound and gagged, she rides through the air on her broom, trying to reach her boyfriend. There's a hilarious scene with a family having lunch and looking out their window with wide eyes as the girl flies along right outside. Saxana finally enters through the window of her love interest's bedroom, and he frees her after some impatient struggling and mmphing from her part. |

Record number: 308 Title: Oliver and Company (1988) Medium: Movie Actress: Jenny (voiced by Natalie Gregory) Description: In this Disney animated movie, the lonely little rich girl, Jenny, is kidnapped after an attempt to ransom her cat fails. She is grabbed and pulled into a car, and we later see a closeup of her hands, crossed, as the villian pulls tightly on a knot tying them together behind her back (and the chair) while she sits in a chair in his office. As the knot tightens, Jenny's fists become clenched. Later, Jenny's talking cat and dog friends attempt to rescue her. When Jenny's own pet dog is unable to pull the knot off with her sharp teeth, the animals decide to use a hook to pull her chair up off the ground to safety. Jenny, still tied to the chair with her hands behind, crossed, is pulled up to the ceiling, and then pulled along it. The villian stops the hook operation by shorting some wires with an ax, and Jenny, still tied to the chair, falls. When she lands, however, she is no longer tied and is now carrying her pet cat in her now free hands. This scene is significant because it is very rare that a little girl character in a G-rated movie is put through so much. Jenny is voiced by Natalie Gregory. |

The plot, if you care, has something to do with the bad guy abducting the good guy's best player when her volleyball team starts to beat their big rival. Actually the movie is more about the sun, the beach, and gratuitous feminine nudity. |
