Record number: 2400 Title: Adventures of Superman (1952) Medium: TV Series Actress: Noel Neill Description: Episode: "The Perils of Superman" (6.12) The series regulars are all abducted by lead-masked baddies seeking revenge on the Daily Planet for helping Superman in his never-ending battle for truth, justice, and .... Anyway, having expressed a fondness for the old movie serials, they leave Lois, attired in a blue outfit, nylons and heels (and pearls, but of course), roped to the railroad tracks and overgagged with light blue cloth. The train approaches, Lois struggles, Superman races against time ... Whew! Nick of, and all's well. Well, except Jimmy's barreling down a winding mountain road with his brakes cut. Holy cliché! (Oops ... wrong color tights.) The action begins around the 18' mark, and lasts about three minutes, with a break to save Perry White from a buzzsaw. |

Wearing an eye-popping harem-girl outfit, she ends up manacled to a table with her hands in front. Later, Col. Wilma Deering (Erin Gray) tries to rescue her. Things don't go well for our heroines from there, but you'll have to check out Part Two for the details. |

| One of my favorites, Tessie O'Shea shows that even a big fat woman can look good with a gag. Halfway through this long and funny movie. She's b&g with Carl Reiner, but for once the female got the better gag. One caveat, if it's shown in the letterbox format (as it probably will be)won't be as good since the widescreen view causes the scenes to be farther away than they would be in normal format. |
