Record number: 13307 Title: Funny Games (2007) Medium: Movie Actress: Naomi Watts Description: This shot-for-shot remake of the Austrian original (hence this database entry will be almost word-for-word) begins as a quaint family trip to the country. Once settled in, however, that knock at the cottage door turns out to be much more than it initially seemed. The home is soon taken over by two sadistic 'punks', and Naomi Watts' first scene begins with her being led into the living room, wearing only her white bra and panties (in contrast to Susanne Lothar in the original, who wore a short white minidress), wrists bound behind her with brown cellophane packing tape. Psycho #1 then forces her onto the sofa, and tapes up her ankles as well (she is not, at this point, gagged). In an escape attempt a few minutes later, we see her rise from the sofa and vigorously hop across the room to her injured husband (who is not bound). He unsuccessfully attempts to rip the tape from her wrists with his fingers, and then resorts to gnawing at the tape with his teeth. To no avail, however, as Psycho #2 inconveniently comes back into the room. Later, the bad-guys having said their 'adieus' and left, there are a few other momentary scenes of Watts hopping around until she finally frees herself. At 1:30, and in the first of two great scenes in the movie: having had no phone at the vacation cottage we see her attempting to flag down a car for help on a country road, while her injured husband stays back at the cottage, waiting for her to return with the police. Seems it must've been JUST the wrong car to try to attract attention from, because we then cut to Watts being led back into the cottage by the bad guys, to her husband's shock, bound with rope and THOROUGHLY gagged. In stringent and ingenious bondage, seldom seem in mainstream movies or tv, her wrists are bound with rope in front of her, and held tightly to her crotch. We are then treated to over a full minute of close-up of Watts' incredible gag, as she sits almost motionless on the sofa trying to deal with cloth-packing of immense proportions, distending her cheeks/mouth to the point of being almost a caricature (the single piece of rope 'holding' the cloth in her mouth seems superfluous). There is then some wonderful 'acting' (?) by Watts as the camera stays on her while alternately choking/gagging and attempting to breathe through the monstrous gag (a teardrop even forming at the corner of her eye). We get to see exactly whats inside her mouth when the bad-guys decide that she would be much more fun to play with if she werent indeed gagged: one of them pulls her forward on the sofa (the expression on her face from the tightening noose around her neck when he does this seems almost real), and then cuts the rope running up her back, connecting her wrists to the noose. Wrists still bound, she hurriedly reaches up and pulls the single piece of rope from around her mouth, then makes quite a production out of pulling the HUGE piece of cloth from her own mouth, allowing her to again breathe freely. The other great scene is when we see a long-shot of the bad-guys leading our heroine down to a boat dock. She is attired in a yellow rain-slicker as they lead her onto a sailboat, and we see then that she is again incredibly well-gagged. This time with the aforementioned brown cellophane packing tape wrapped completely around her head, multiple times, completely covering her lower face and chin. No real indication of what might be inside her mouth, but we do plainly see that her cheeks are bulging above the tape. We then also become aware that she is bound in much the same manner as she was before, wrists with rope in front, crotchrope underneath and up to her neck (although the noose is not nearly as tight this time). Psycho #2 unties the noose arrangement so that he can then sit her on the floor of the boat. He binds her ankles, and then then wrists-to-ankles in front. It seems the inference is that Watts is gagged almost to the point of choking again, as there is no sound coming from her, and she is seen sitting on the floor of the boat and blinking her eyes at times quite rapidly, as if trying to keep from choking. Several more excellent close-ups of Watts' gagged face, and there is one more attempt at escape as the bad-guys take her out for a jaunt on the lake *** Spoiler/Warning: Be advised, there are several disturbing scenes in this flick, none of the family meets a good end, including a somewhat grim ending for Watts herself *** |

Record number: 17217 Title: Chastity Bites (2013) Medium: Movie Actress: Allison Scagliotti, Francia Raisa Description: Fiesty cutie Scagliotti gets chloroformed while snooping around a villain's hideout at 1hr 9mins. She awakens a minute later to find herself lying on bunk, hands tied behind her back with rope, feet unbound, and cleave gagged with a green bandanna (which keeps switching in between shots to being half-way in her mouth, then neatly between her teeth, and back again). While the bad guy isn't looking, she tries to sneak out but is recaptured. He then leaves her alone, prompting her to get up off the bunk again and find another means of escape from the hideout. She tries to kick out a wooden section of wall, but the bad guy is outside and grabs her foot. Clearly a fetishist, he pulls off her shoe and sock, then starts licking her bare foot all over; cue much muffled screaming from Scagliotti. This first sequence lasts 2mins. Immediately afterwards, Raisa is shown in a bedroom being held captive by a secret society obsessed with chastity (hence the film's title). Her hands are securely tied in front with rope and cinched in the middle, bare feet also tied more loosely with rope but not cinched. One of the society sisters lectures her about some stuff, but she otherwise makes no effort to escape besides a few frustrated tugs at her wrist bindings. Sequence lasts 1min. We cut back to Scagliotti, still repulsed by the unwanted "attention" given to her foot earlier, wiping it furiously against the bunk mattress. She even gag-talks a muffled "Ew, ew, ew!" before looking around for something to get her wrists free. After spotting a loose nail on a shelf, she quickly uses it to cut through the rope and ungag herself. The bandanna hangs around her neck for a while longer as she tries to seduce the bad guy and rescue her boyfriend. Sequence is over at 1hr 14mins. |

Record number: 169 Title: Big Trouble in Little China (1986) aka John Carpenter's Big Trouble in Little China Medium: Movie Actress: Suzee Pai, Kim Cattrall Description: Ms. Pai is shown tied down to a bed, hands tied AOH to the headboard, and cleave gagged with a thick pink/white terry cloth at around the 30' mark (no commercials). There are several nice close-ups. As she is about to be wisked away by the demon, we can see that Ms. Pai's shoes have been removed during her captivity. There is a close up of her bound stocking feet when the demon cuts the rope that ties them to the bottom of the bed. Around the 50' mark, Ms. Cattrall is shown in a cage laying on her stomach in a very strict hogtie. She is also tightly cleave gagged with a thin black cloth. Her hands are bound behind her back, and her ankles are tied together. A rope extends from her ankles over her left shoulder, around her neck, then back over her right shoulder and down to her bound hands, putting her in a hogtie. After she is rescued by Kurt Russell, she flees the warehouse with her gag still in place. No mention of Ms. Cattrall's hogtie or why she is the only one tied up in the audio commentary track While the others drive away from the warehouse, Gracie (Kim Cattrall) is again grabbed by Lo-Pan in beast-form, and gets placed with her wrists slapped in chains bolted to the floor. Note: On the Blu-ray and possible the dvd release, there is a deleted scene in the special features. One of the scenes shows a deleted scene of Ms. Pai. The footage is from old stock and some betamax footage. The camera plans up from Ms. Pai's feet to her head as the lady tells her sorry for the bruise on her face. |
