| Title: Bound (1996) Medium: Movie Actress: Gina Gershon, Jennifer Tilly Description: Ms. Tilly is the frustrated wife of a low-level mobster, and Ms. Gershon is her newly-found love interest. Together they hatch a plot to make off with a stash of the mob's money. Gershon is shown in three brief precursor scenes, bound hand and foot with a good bit of white rope and thickly gagged with a knotted cleave on the floor of a closet. The first is during the film's opening credits, the second about 40' in (one brief closeup of her face), and the third at the beginning of the main bondage sequence about 20' from the end. She wears a tank top, pants and boots. Tilly wears a red dress and heels. When Tilly's husband figures out their scheme, he knocks both unconscious in respective struggles and ties each with their ankles together and their hands behind their backs. He lays Gershon on the floor before him, and places Tilly in a chair. When he leaves the room for a moment, Tilly slides onto the floor to try and help Gershon, but before she can, he returns with a pair of tin snips, gags Tilly as described above for Gershon, and threatens to cut off her fingers one at a time unless Gershon tells him where the money is. Then his door buzzer sounds, and, after again knocking Gershon out, he carries her -- now also gagged -- into the closet, then lifts Tilly over his shoulder to carry her into the bathroom, where he lays her on the floor with her back propped up against a wall. After he convinces her to help him hide the situation from the mob enforcers on their way up to the apartment, there is a shot of Tilly untying her ankles. Once the gangsters leave, Tilly runs for it, and while her husband chases her, Gershon manages to open the closet doors and writhe over to where he left the tin snips, which she uses to escape. In a two-hour AMC airing, with ads, the closeup comes in around the 40' mark, as stated, but the last segment begins about 90' in, and continues on until around the 112' mark |

| Title: Funny Games (2008) Medium: Movie Actress: Naomi Watts Description: This shot-for-shot remake of a dark German movie (and since it is a shot-for-shot remake, shouldn't the database entry be (almost) word-for-word?) begins as a quaint family trip to the country. Once settled in, however, that knock at the cottage door turns out to be much more than it initially seemed. The home is soon taken over by two sadistic 'punks', and Naomi Watts' first scene begins with her being led into the livingroom, wrists bound behind her with brown cellophane packing tape. Psycho #1 then forces her onto the sofa, and tapes up her ankles as well (she is not, at this point, gagged). In an escape attempt a few minutes later, we see her rise from the sofa and vigorously hop across the room to her injured husband (who is not bound). He unsuccessfully attempts to rip the tape from her wrists with his fingers, and then resorts to gnawing at the tape with his teeth. To no avail, however, as Psycho #2 inconveniently comes back into the room. Later, the bad-guys having said their 'adieus' and left, there are a few other momentary scenes of Watts hopping around until she finally frees herself. At 1:30, and in the first of two great scenes in the movie: having had no phone at the vacation cottage we see her attempting to flag down a car for help on a country road, while her injured husband stays back at the cottage, waiting for her to return with the police. Seems it must've been JUST the wrong car to try to attract attention from, because we then cut to Watts being led back into the cottage by the bad guys, to her husband's shock, bound with rope and THOROUGHLY gagged. In stringent and ingenious bondage, seldom seem in mainstream movies or tv, her wrists are bound with rope in front of her, and held tightly to her crotch. We are then treated to over a full minute of close-up of Watts' incredible gag, as she sits almost motionless on the sofa trying to deal with cloth-packing of immense proportions, distending her cheeks/mouth to the point of being almost a caricature (the single piece of rope 'holding' the cloth in her mouth seems superfluous). There is then some wonderful 'acting' (?) by Watts as the camera stays on her while alternately choking/gagging and attempting to breathe through the monstrous gag (a teardrop even forming at the corner of her eye). We get to see exactly whats inside her mouth when the bad-guys decide that she would be much more fun to play with if she werent indeed gagged: one of them pulls her forward on the sofa (the expression on her face from the tightening noose around her neck when he does this seems almost real), and then cuts the rope running up her back, connecting her wrists to the noose. Wrists still bound, she hurriedly reaches up and pulls the single piece of rope from around her mouth, then makes quite a production out of pulling the HUGE piece of cloth from her own mouth, allowing her to again breathe freely. The other great scene is when we see a long-shot of the bad-guys leading our heroine down to a boat dock. She is attired in a yellow rain-slicker as they lead her onto a sailboat, and we see then that she is again incredibly well-gagged. This time with the aforementioned brown cellophane packing tape wrapped completely around her head, multiple times, completely covering her lower face and chin. No real indication of what might be inside her mouth, but we do plainly see that her cheeks are bulging above the tape. We then also become aware that she is bound in much the same manner as she was before, wrists with rope in front, crotchrope underneath and up to her neck (although the noose is not nearly as tight this time). Psycho #2 unties the noose arrangement so that he can then sit her on the floor of the boat. He binds her ankles, and then then wrists-to-ankles in front. It seems the inference is that Watts is gagged almost to the point of choking again, as there is no sound coming from her, and she is seen sitting on the floor of the boat and blinking her eyes at times quite rapidly, as if trying to keep from choking. Several more excellent close-ups of Watts' gagged face, and there is one more attempt at escape as the bad-guys take her out for a jaunt on the lake *** Spoiler/Warning: Be advised, there are several disturbing scenes in this flick, none of the family meets a good end, including a somewhat grisly ending for Watts herself *** I think this one is a little better lit than the original, and Watts is much better looking hopping around in her underwear. |

| Title: Hostel: Part II (2007) Medium: Movie Actress: Heather Matarazzo, Lauren German, Bijou Phillips, Karen Davidsen, Tereza Mandic-Listikova Description: At the 46:30 mark, The first girl captured, Loran (Heather Matazzaro),is ambushed with a sack over her head, then knocked out with a blow. She waked up hanging upside down, chained by her bare feet. She's completely naked with a cloth gag in her mouth. There are numerous closeups of her face and upper half as well as one of her hands which have been chained behind her back and one which pans down the chain she's suspended from to her bare feet. Also one full length shot at the start of the scene. An incredible scene but unfortunately she meets a very grisly end. At the one hour mark, there's a group bondage scene with a several girls (Karen Davidsen, Tereza Mandic-Listikova, and Bijou Phillips) tied up, hands behind, and cleave gagged. Davidsen and Mandic-Listikova are the producer's assistants by the way. Bijou is taken out of the cell & cuffed to a beautician's chair, still cleave gagged, and an old make-up woman begins to clean her up a bit & starts to paint her nails. After being ungagged, Bijou then bites the tip of the woman's nose off (!), grabs the keys to the cuffs, & escapes. She is recaptured shortly after. At the 1:11:00 mark, Laura German is shown chained to a chair & hooded. The hood is removed & we see her cleave gagged with a white cloth. This scene alternates with scenes of Bijou cuffed to her own chair in another part of the house with a cloth sack over her head, wearing a racy outfit. When the bag comes off we see that she's been gagged with a black ballgag. Then the scene goes back to Laura. Her gag is removed and she almost succeeds in talking her way out of the situation, only to be knocked out. We are now at around the 1:15:50 mark. More scenes of Bijou, still secured to her chair & ballgagged. She is injured with a circular saw cutting into her head but apparently survives (we see her bandaged up later on, bonds removed). After Bijou's scene ends, we see Lauren has been regagged & re-chained to the chair, at around the 1:19:30 mark. Her bondage scene ends at around the 1:22:45 mark. |
