Record number: 1056 Title: In Cold Blood (1967) Medium: Movie Actress: Brenda Currin, Ruth Storey Description: They play the female half of a real-life Kansas farm family accosted in the middle of the night by robbers. First the daughter (Currin) and then the mother (Storey) are shown being hogtied in their beds in rather dark, closely cropped scenes (neither is gagged), after the father and son have been taken downstairs and tied up. Later one of the robbers comes into Currin's bedroom and begins fondling her as though he's planning to rape her; this film having been made when it was, the scene isn't very explicit. The sequence ends with powerful scenes of Currin reacting to the sound of the gunshots as the robbers do away with the other members of her family one by one, leaving her for last. |

Record number: 10557 Title: Bonanza Medium: TV Series Actress: Anita Sands Description: Episode: "The Spitfire" (2.17) In the episode's first scene, Joe Cartwright is forced to kill a man who was setting fire to Ponderosa timber in order to clear farmland. The scene ends as the homesteader's lovely daughter Willow tries to part Joe's hair with an axe. In the next scene (immediately after the title sequense) we see Willow, a tall slender brunette, seated next to a wagon wheel with her wrists bound behind her back while Joe battles the fire. We cannot see the ropes which bind her hands, but we do get a quick glimpse of ropes which bind her ankles. Joe unties her and offers to take her back to the Ponderosa, but Willow attacks him again. In the next scene, we see Joe lead Willow into the Ponderosa's front yard, with Willow tied to her horse - her wrists knotted behind her back. Other ropes secure her ankles to the horse's side. Considering how much she screeches, it's surprising that Joe didn't gag her, but he didn't, alas. |

They remain that way throughout the episode until the end when their gags are pulled down around their necks. After that, Friday's episode will be rerun. The scene continues, but the gags remain around their necks. |

| Title: Timber Falls Medium: Movie Actress: Brianna Brown, Suzanna Urszuly Description: Basically, a "Wrong Turn" type horror flick. Movie opens up with a closeup of the gagged face of Ms. Urszuly. She is lying in a spreadeagle postion. We get some closeups of her bound feet. Her hands are held in position with knives. She manages to get herself free, but doesn't survive but for only a couple minutes into the movie. Ms. Brown (who kinda favors a younger Kristy Swanson) and her boyfriend decide to go hiking in the West Virginia woods where they run into a family of religious (Christian) backwoods killer psychos, because, you know, the woods are crawling with those types, right? Anyway, our lovely lass spends a good deal of time with a really tight white cleave-gag. (Her ordeal starts after the 55' mark in the movie [time with commercials]). She's tied to a post, tied with her hands in front and even "married" while gagged! Warning, for those who care, there is a putz alert, although not nearly as often as she's gagged. The DVD extras have one "behind the scenes" video, but there're no shots of our babe in bondage, and she's also interviewed, but again little or no talk about her time in captivity, other than a little bit about her time strapped to a table. (No gag). It's an annoying interview, as she constantly giggles and loses her train of thought because supposedly people keep walking in and out of her sight line behind the camera. I can see why the director decided to have her gagged so much, even though they're deep in the woods where no one could here her anyway. On a scale of 1 to 10, if you like cleave-gags, I give this one a 7.5. |

| Title: Saw (2004) Medium: Movie Actress: Monica Potter, Shawnee Smith, Makenzie Vega Description: The film contains gory violence and disturbing images. Shawnee Smith is duct taped by the wrists to a chair, and has a giant mechanical gag device padlocked on her head. She has enough time to pull free of her bonds, then has to locate the key to unlock the gag (which also serves as a death trap). Monica Potter is the wife of the hero, and is grabbed as leverage/bait along with her daughter (Vega). Both are cleavegagged with scarves and shown struggling with their restraints: Potter's hands are tied behind, Vega's in front. Potter pulls free of her gag, then her bonds, but has to regag herself and her daughter when the villain returns. The sequences are fairly lengthy, including lingering closeups of faces and hands (including blink and miss ones). Smith's scene is at minute 24, while the Potter/Vega scenes are at 39 (just over a minute), 70 (no gags or visible bondage in this one), 80 (five minutes, with several cutaways), and 96 (quick flashback shots only). |
