Time: 10:30 AM eastern |
Channel: Turner Classic Movies (TCM) |
Susan Hayward handcuffed (no gag), then bound and blindfolded (no gag). |
Record number: 842 Title: I Want to Live! (1958) Medium: Movie Actress: Susan Hayward Description: About an hour and twenty minutes into her Oscar-winning portrayal of real-life murder convict Barbara Graham, Hayward, in dark glasses, dress, and high heels, is led to her San Quentin death-row cell with her hands cuffed in front, secured to a ring attached to a strap around her waist. At the film's climax half an hour later, wearing the same outfit but now not handcuffed, she's led blindfolded to the gas chamber and strapped by broad straps in her upper torso, her waist and, remarkably well shown by close up, straps under her knees and on her ankles. Similarly her arms are strapped right below the elbows and on her wrists to the arms of the chair. She is blindfolded. After the pellets drop, there are several shots of her writhing and struggling before she loses consciousness. |

Day: Thursday May 14 2009 |
Time: 5:30pm est |
Channel: World Harvest |
Thu 5/14 5:30-6:00pm 367 WHMBSAT |
Record number: 12582 Title: Bat Masterson Medium: TV Series Actress: Peggy Knudsen Description: Episode: "The Court Martial of Major Mars" (3.15) The stagecoach in which Bat Masterson (Gene Barry), Major Mars (John Anderson) and pretty blonde Lottie Tremaine (Knudsen) are traveling is waylaid by a vengeful gang led by an Indian whose family were slain when the Major's men wiped out a village full of non-combatants. Bat is forced to defend the Major during a kangeroo court, while Lottie looks on, her wrists bound behind her back and attached, apparently, to a wagon wheel. The scenes start about half-way through the episodes and we get occasional middle-distance shots of Ms. Knudsen's predicament. There is male interference and we never really get a look at her bonds. The scene ends right before the last commercial break. |
