Record number: 20775 Title: Silent Retreat (2016) Medium: Movie Actress: Trista Robinson Description: Yet another horror/thriller flick about a bunch of campers staying at a cabin in the woods, who all go missing during their own escapades. Everything takes place in nonlinear narrative, so the timecodes for this short scene will be all over the place. Sporty brunette Rita (Robinson) is out for a run at 21mins but goes missing offscreen. We next see her at 47mins, locked in a room at the cabin; she is sitting on a chair, unconscious and sporting a heavy bruise on her left eye, hands tied behind the backrest with white rope and feet tied (neither bonds visible), and gagged with a wide strip of duct tape. At 59mins she suddenly wakes up, startled, and begins mmpphhing and struggling nicely. However, she gets free (still no bonds visible) and ungags herself all too quickly. In a split-second view just as she escapes from the room, we finally see a length of white rope on the floor, along with the tape gag she threw away. Her actual capture is shown at 1hr 17-18mins when she arrives at the cabin from her run, only to discover her grandfather being murdered by a fellow camper. She grabs a rifle to keep him away, but is overpowered and struck with the butt of the gun (which explains the earlier bruise). Later still, at 1hr 25mins, the aftermath of her escape from the room culminates in her receiving a handgag by the same camper. One last jump forward in time next sees her recovering on a hospital bed, with a wad of gauze stuffed in her mouth from the bleeding. All times based on the iTunes release without commercials. |
